DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MATRIX LIGHT SOURCES
Lighting module for a motor vehicle comprising a matrix light source grouping together a plurality of elementary light sources, and a control module for a motor vehicle. Method for controlling the matrix source of said module, noteworthy in that it allows a default lighting setpoint to be generated.
Autonomous communication feature use and insurance pricing
Methods and systems for determining risk associated with operation of autonomous vehicles using autonomous communication are provided. According to certain aspects, autonomous operation features associated with a vehicle may be determined, including features associated with autonomous communication between vehicles or with infrastructure. This information may be used to determine risk levels for a plurality of features, which may be based upon test data regarding the features or actual loss data. Expected use levels and autonomous communication levels may further be determined and used with the risk levels to determine a total risk level associated with operation of the vehicle. The autonomous communication levels may indicate the types of communications, the levels of communication with other vehicles or infrastructure, or the frequency of autonomous communication. The total risk level may be used to determine or adjust aspects of an insurance policy associated with the vehicle.
Telematics Road Ready System
A system for monitoring a trailer having a plurality of light emitting diode devices includes a master control unit attached to an outside surface of the trailer. The master control unit includes a solar panel, a GPS receiver module, a cellular data transceiver module for communicating with a central tracking computer via a cellular data network interfaced to the Internet, and a local wireless network master transceiver module in wireless communication with a plurality of wireless sensors and a light out detection system. A microcontroller is provided for controlling the local wireless network master transceiver module to periodically obtain sensor data from the wireless sensors and light out detection system, and for controlling the cellular data transceiver module to transmit the location and the sensor data to the central tracking computer for storage in the tracking database.
Autonomous driving monitoring system
In one embodiment, a control command is generated by an autonomous controller of the ADV. Feedback is sensed that corresponds to the control command. A difference is determined between a) the control command, and b) the feedback corresponding to the control command. If the difference is meets a threshold, then a fault response is generated.
DMD LAMP AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING DMD LAMP
The present invention relates to a lamp system including a digital micro-mirror device (DMD) module, and more particularly, to a system and method for improving life characteristics of a DMD module. A DMD lamp and a method of controlling a DMD lamp of the present invention may improve a life of a DMD module by measuring a temperature of the DMD module in real time and controlling operations of the DMD module and a light source when the temperature of the DMD module rises above a certain temperature, and improve the life of the DMD module by adjusting a ratio of an ON mode/OFF mode of the DMD module to the same ratio and automatically compensating for the insufficient amount of light to reduce the consumption of an angle adjusting unit of a mirror to a minimum while maintaining the output amount of light.
Trailer Testing Device
The present disclosure relates generally to measuring and testing circuits of towed vehicles. Testing circuits of towed vehicles for proper function is required for safe use of the vehicle. Instruments that currently exist are expensive, the instruments are large in size, use outdated technology to perform the test and do not provide a means to reliably and effectively test braking systems.
Aircraft beacon light, aircraft comprising an aircraft beacon light, and method of determining a health status of an aircraft beacon light
An aircraft beacon light with integrated health monitoring comprises an annular arrangement of light sources, which are configured for repeatedly emitting beacon light flashes; a light detection sensor surrounded by the annular arrangement of light sources; and at least one reflective portion arranged to reflect light emitted by the annular arrangement of light sources onto the light detection sensor.
System for detecting circuit anomalies in trailer wiring
A system for detecting anomalies in electrical wiring in a truck trailer. The system measures and compares current drawn from the truck tractor with the current drawn by a circuit at a particular trailer component or other location in the trailer wiring. If the two current measurements differ in excess of a predetermined threshold, the system can report a wiring anomaly. The location of the anomaly can then be determined by performing the operation for different trailer components thus testing multiple different branches of the trailer power distribution circuit, and using the results of these tests to determine that an anomaly is present, and possibly the location of the issue. The system may then send a notification to a remote computing device, to the truck tractor, or any combination thereof.
Device and Method for Wirelessly Testing Vehicle Lights
The present invention relates to a system, device, and method for checking functionality of tail lights, brake lights, and turn lights of a vehicle and/or a connected trailer. The invention includes a key fob device that wirelessly connects with a vehicle's on-board light control module (i.e. ECU). The key fob can be used from outside of the vehicle to transmit wireless instructions to flash or actuate tail lights, brake lights, and turn lights for a predetermined time enabling a user standing behind the vehicle to check the functionality of the lights of the vehicle. The user can activate control buttons on the key fob to selectively activate tail lights, brake lights, and turn lights. The present invention eliminates the need to ask for assistance to check functionality of vehicle lights or spend time getting in and out of a truck cab to check the lights while alone.
LAMP AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A lamp may include a display device including a first region and a second region having mutually different references for the number of a failed pixel, and a controller to control the display device.
