VEHICLE LIGHTING CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle lighting control device includes: a control determination unit that determines whether or not a state of a vehicle is a control target state in which an arrival time required for the vehicle to arrive at a tunnel is less than a predetermined reference arrival time; and a lighting controller that executes a first control to control a headlight to a low beam when a forward vehicle is detected and to control the headlight to a high beam when the forward vehicle is not detected. The lighting controller is configured to prevent the headlight from being switched to the high beam in the first control when determination is made that the vehicle is in the control target state even when a state in which the forward vehicle is detected is changed to a state in which the forward vehicle is not detected.
OPTICAL SENSOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME
In an optical sensor, a detecting part includes detecting elements, and a light-shielding portion providing directional characteristics of light to the detecting elements such that the detecting elements indicate different intensities of light received in a specified direction. A signal processing part has an adjustment value for processing detection signals. The adjustment value is set as follows. Based on information of an inclination angle of a window glass of a vehicle to which the detecting part is attached, from the detecting elements, a detecting element having a directional characteristic of light suitable for the inclination angle is selected. The adjustment value is then set so as to coincide a signal value of a detection signal of the selected detecting element with a target value, when the detecting part is irradiated with light in a predetermined direction in a state where the detecting part is inclined at the inclination angle.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING SOUND DETECTION INFORMATION, APPARATUS DETECTING SOUND AROUND VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME
A method for providing sound detection information includes steps of: sensing sound around a host vehicle to generate sound data; generating a result of sound detection based on the sound data; calculating a rate of change based on the result of sound detection; generating a result of tunnel detection by comparing the rate of change with a threshold; and controlling at least one peripheral apparatus in the host vehicle according to the result of tunnel detection.
Method for calibrating a lighting apparatus
The invention relates to a method for calibrating a lighting apparatus, particularly lighting apparatus for a motor vehicle.
CONTROL OF VEHICLE EXTERIOR LIGHTS BASED ON VEHICLE LOCATION AND/OR PLANNED ROUTE INFORMATION
A computing device for a vehicle exterior light control system is described. The computing device includes one or more processors for controlling operation of the computing device, and a memory for storing data and program instructions usable by the one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to automatically operate vehicle headlights responsive to a location of the vehicle.
Vehicle lamp control device
A vehicle lamp control device (1) includes: an artificial light determination unit (82) which, on the basis of an image of the surroundings of a vehicle C captured by a camera (11) mounted on the vehicle C, determines whether or not the vehicle C is located in an artificial light environment, i.e., an environment illuminated by artificial light which is light provided by artificial illumination; and a lamp controller (81) which, on the basis of the result of determination by the artificial light determination unit (82), controls turning on or turning off of a lamp (12) which outputs an illumination light to the outside of the vehicle C.
Lamp for vehicle
A lamp for a vehicle includes: a lamp module configured to project a light having a beam pattern onto a road surface; at least one processor; and a computer-readable medium coupled to the at least one processor having stored thereon instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to perform operations comprising: obtaining vehicle driving information associated with driving of the vehicle; determining, based on vehicle driving information, a light adjustment region; and based on the determination of the light adjustment region, performing a gradual control of light projected to the light adjustment region, the gradual control of light configured to progressively change a brightness of light in the light adjustment region.
Tunnel detection system and method for a motor vehicle
A tunnel detection system for a motor vehicle comprises a radiofrequency signal receiver provided to receive a radiofrequency signal coming from a source external to the vehicle; a controller communicating with the radiofrequency signal receiver, the controller being configured to detect at least one amplitude variation in the radiofrequency signal received by the receiver; the controller is configured to determine at least one correspondence level representative of the difference between the detected amplitude variation in the radiofrequency signal and at least one predetermined reference signal amplitude variation representative of the amplitude variation in a signal received by the receiver when the receiver travels into a tunnel; the controller is configured to compare the determined correspondence level with a predetermined minimum correspondence threshold, and detect the tunnel being travelled through by the detection system when the determined correspondence level is greater than or equal to the predetermined minimum correspondence threshold.
