Method and apparatus for vehicular light fixtures

A terrain viewing apparatus is provided to enable greater viewability of environmental conditions around a vehicle. A housing of the terrain viewing apparatus may include a lighting apparatus for emitting light and illuminating environmental conditions during nighttime, dusk, or adverse weather conditions. The housing may further include a reflecting apparatus to increase an operator's ability to view environmental conditions outside the vehicle. One or more joints may enable the housing to be adjustable with respect to the vehicle. An internal joint may enable the reflecting apparatus to be adjustable with respect to the housing. The lighting apparatus may receive power from the vehicle. The lighting and reflecting apparatuses may be electrically coupled to the vehicle and may be controllable therefrom.

Vehicle U-turn signal indicator and system
11708023 · 2023-07-25 ·

The present invention relates to a vehicle U-turn indicator system to alert other motorists, cyclists and pedestrians of a potential U-turn made by a vehicle. The indicator is an inverted “U” shaped device having LED lights configured to blink in a running manner from one end to other and vice versa. The blinking of LED lights in one direction indicates U-turn of the vehicle in one direction (i.e. left) and in another direction indicates a U-turn of the vehicle in another direction (i.e. right). The indicator can be mounted to the front and rear of the vehicle in addition to side mirrors. An actuator is used for activating the U-turn indicator in a preferred direction.

WIRELESS CAB MARKER LIGHTS FOR TRUCK
20180009369 · 2018-01-11 ·

A three dimensional truck or SUV cab marker light apparatus comprising a container having a right circular cylinder structure with a shape determined by the number of walls used during assembly, each wall being formed from a generally flat sheet of a rigid material and a transparent material, the walls being assembled to form a container enclosing an interior region for a light-transmission source and having a lower surface for attachment to a cab roof without drilling holes into the cab roof and without installing wires through the cab roof.

Signaling device with built-in accelerometer carried on the back of a user of a locomotive machine
11554713 · 2023-01-17 ·

The invention relates to a signalling device (1) designed to be removably placed on the back of a user of a locomotive engine, the device (1) including electronic means for signal processing and for controlling the switching-on and/or switching-off of the at least one secondary signal light (3d, 3g) synchronously with the switching-on and/or switching-off of a primary signal light present in the machine. Electronic means are built into an accelerometer and means for interpreting measurements of the accelerometer allow the detection of a lateral variation, to the right or left, of the direction of movement, the means for controlling the at least one secondary signal light (3d, 3g) comprising means for verifying that the at least one secondary signal light (3d, 3g) indicates the lateral right or left direction followed by the user and the machine.

Managing recreational vehicles and accessories

A vehicle is electrically connected to one or more accessories. The vehicle includes at least one controller that may be configured to identify the accessory based on accessory identification information. The controller may also be configured to provide one or more commands to control an operation of the accessory.

DEDICATED U-TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SYSTEM FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
20220388445 · 2022-12-08 ·

A dedicated U-turn signal light system for motor vehicles will be added. This is achieved by introducing a U-turn signal light in the form of a green arc (or an alternative color adhering to the national motor vehicle codes) capping the existing conventional turn signals and activated where a U-turn is allowed. The U-turn arc signal will flash in an animated fashion and simultaneously with the conventional turn signal. This will apply on each direction (left or right). A revised design of the signal lever will be made to accommodate for two additional U-turn positions served by adding two U-turn slots in the signal lever control box. An additional two electrical switches will confirm simultaneous flashing of the conventional turn and U-turn signals.

AUXILIARY VEHICLE LED LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
20220379800 · 2022-12-01 ·

The present invention is an LED lighting system which can be retrofit to an existing vehicle. The lighting system can provide sequential lighting of multiple lamps for effect. In a non-limiting embodiment, a 7-pin wireless remote controller may be plugged directly into a vehicle's 7-pin hitch harness port where it draws power and receives light signals for stopping, hazard (four-way lights), turning. It then in turn will process and communicate these signals to a wireless LED strip. In another non-limiting embodiment, a 4-pin wireless remote controller may be connected directly to a vehicle's 4-pin harness plug, if equipped, or spliced directly into the vehicle's wire harness if it is not equipped with a 4-pin plug. The 4-pin wireless remote controller will process these light signals and communicate them to a wireless LED strip.

EXTERIOR MIRROR FOR A VEHICLE, RETAINING SYSTEM FOR USE WITH A FUNCTIONAL COMPONENT OF A VEHICLE

An exterior mirror for a vehicle, a retaining system for use with a functional component of a vehicle and a vehicle comprising at least one such exterior mirror. It is provided that an exterior mirror for a vehicle comprises a retaining system having a mirror module arranged thereon and at least one functional module having at least one illuminant. In an interior region of the exterior mirror, at least two retaining elements, each having groove regions, are arranged on the retaining system such that the at least one functional module is reversibly arrangeable, via sliding elements arranged on the functional module between the respective groove regions in at least one user-defined position in the interior region of the exterior mirror. In addition, a retaining system and a vehicle comprising at least one such exterior mirror are provided.

Wireless vehicle lighting

A flexible, sheet-like, multi-layered lighting assembly for applying to a surface. The lighting assembly includes an on-board power source for powering the lighting assembly. The lighting assembly includes a sheet-like electroluminescent light source that is activated by power from the power source, and when activated, emits light. The power source may include a flexible thin sheet-like battery, a wireless power receiver, or a combination thereof. The wireless power receiver may receive power from a power signal generated by a wireless power transmitter; and may operate to directly power the electroluminescent light source, or may recharge the battery.
