Material handling vehicle having a multi-piece bumper assembly
A bumper assembly for a material handling vehicle is provided. The material handling vehicle includes a vehicle frame. The bumper assembly includes a first bumper coupled to a first side of the vehicle frame and having a first slot extending along a portion of the first bumper and a first protruding portion. The first protruding portion extends outwardly at an angle past a plane defined by the first side of the vehicle frame. The bumper assembly further includes a second bumper coupled to a second side of the vehicle frame opposite to the first side and having a second slot extending along a portion of the second bumper and a second protruding portion. The second protruding portion extends outwardly at an angle past a plane defined by the second side of the vehicle frame.
Mounting system for truck underride protection
A mounting system for a vehicle with one or more cross members. The mounting system includes a mounting rail including a mounting platform and at least one mounting slot being formed in the mounting platform. The mounting system includes a panel bracket coupled to the mounting rail that is configured to receive at least one guard panel. The mounting system includes at least one clamping body removably coupled to the mounting platform of the mounting rail. The at least one clamping body is configured to engage a cross member and the mounting platform is configured to engage the cross member so as to clamp the cross member between the at least one clamping body and the mounting platform.

TRAILER WITH REAR IMPACT GUARD
A trailer frame includes a rear bolster, cross-members, and corner gussets extending forwardly from ends of the rear bolster. A rear impact guard includes a bumper positioned at the rear end of the trailer and spaced below the rear bolster, pair of outboard posts, and at least one inboard post. The outboard posts extend between the bumper and the rear bolster adjacent respective opposed distal ends of the bumper, and the inboard post extends between the bumper and the rear bolster between the outboard posts. Each of the pair of outboard posts has a lower end that overlaps with a respective mounting bracket that protrudes upwardly toward the rear bolster from the bumper such that mounting holes of the outboard posts align with mounting holes of the mounting brackets. A laterally-outboard panel of each mounting bracket extends obliquely from the bumper in a direction with a laterally-outward component.

Collision energy absorbing apparatus
The present disclosure provides a collision energy absorbing apparatus capable of suppressing a peak load at the initial stage of a collision and a load drop immediately after it. The collision energy absorbing apparatus is an apparatus that absorbs collision energy, the apparatus being mounted on a vehicle and including a pressure member, an absorbing member, and a guide part that guides, a moving direction of the pressure member, in which a hole through which the pressure member guided and moved by the guide part enters is formed in the absorbing member, and in an event of a collision, the pressure member is guided by the guide part and a tip part of the pressure member enters the hole formed in the absorbing member while shearing an inner wall of the hole, to thereby absorb collision energy.
Front vehicle-body structure of vehicle
A front vehicle-body structure of a vehicle includes: side frames of a suspension subframe; a cross member connecting front-end portions of the side frames in the vehicle width direction; a front beam member; and a connecting member connecting a front-end portion of each side frame to the front beam member. A high-rigidity portion having a higher rigidity than other portions of the side frame is at a connecting portion between the front-end portion of the side frame and the cross member. The front beam member has a side end portion extending on a vehicle-width-direction outer side relative to a connecting position with the connecting member. A protrusion portion protruding from the side end portion toward a vehicle rear side is to come into contact with the high-rigidity portion from the vehicle-width-direction outer side when a collision load from a vehicle front side is input to the side end portion.
CRASH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH AN ADDITIONAL ELEMENT CONNECTING THE ABSORBER TO THE CROSS BEAM
A crash management system (1) for a front or rear part of a vehicle having a longitudinal direction X, a transverse direction Y perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X and a vertical direction Z perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X and to the transverse direction Y, said crash management system (1) having a crash management system length (L.sub.C) along the Y direction and comprising: a cross beam (2) having a cross beam length (L.sub.B) along the Y direction, at least one additional element (3) having an outer face (36) and an inner face (50), wherein the additional element has at least one wall (38) which is connected to said cross beam (2), at least one absorber (4) having an outer face and/or an inner face, characterized in that said cross beam length (L.sub.B) is smaller than said crash management system length (L.sub.C), said cross beam (2) is connected to said absorber (4) through said additional element (3).
Connecting structure for exterior members
A connecting structure for exterior members includes: a first exterior member provided on a vehicle body; a second exterior member disposed adjacent to the first exterior member; an engaging portion provided on one of the first and second exterior members; and an engaged portion provided on the other one of the first and second exterior members. The connecting structure has a parting line formed between the first exterior member and the second exterior member by disposing the second exterior member on the vehicle body adjacent to the first exterior member. Sliding one of the first and second exterior members relative to the other one of the first and second exterior members along, the parting line causes the engaging portion and the engaged portion to be brought into engagement with each other in a direction intersecting a sliding direction of the one of the first and second exterior members.
