Interior rearview mirror assembly with removable portable accessory module
An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror head, a mirror mounting structure configured to adjustably mount the mirror head at an interior portion of the vehicle, and a receiving portion for receiving a portable accessory module. A retaining element is configured to attach at the mirror casing at the receiving portion to releasably secure the portable accessory module at the receiving portion. With the retaining element at least partially detached from the mirror casing, the portable accessory module is insertable into and removable from the receiving portion. With the portable accessory module inserted into and received at the receiving portion and with the retaining element attached at the mirror casing, the retaining element overlaps a lower portion of the portable accessory module to secure the portable accessory module at the receiving portion.
VEHICLE REAR-VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
The present invention relates to a vehicle rear-view mirror assembly, comprising an electrochromic mirror element, said element comprising: a substantially transparent first electrically conductive base material, which comprises a first surface and a second surface as well as a first edge surface; a substantially transparent second electrically conductive base material, comprising a third surface and a fourth surface as well as a second edge surface; a sealing piece, approximately circumferentially arranged between peripheral areas of the first electrically conductive base material and the second electrically conductive base material, so as to seal and combine the second surface and the third surface and define an empty cavity; an electrochromic medium, which is arranged within the empty cavity; and a substantially transparent con-cave outer casing, comprising an outer casing upper part which has an upper part outer surface and an upper part inner surface, and an outer casing side part which has a side part outer surface and a side part inner surface, a covering layer being provided along the outer casing side part and an area along the periphery of the outer casing upper part; when examining from the concave outer casing outer surface, the sealing piece is hidden behind the covering layer. The present vehicle rear-view mirror has advantageous qualities such as being aesthetically pleasing as a whole, providing a wide field of view, being safe and injury preventing, and not easily shattering.
ACCESSORY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
An accessory control system for a vehicle includes a rearview mirror assembly having a display and touch screen and a processor, and a control panel assembly connected with the rearview mirror assembly, the control panel assembly having a control panel, a plurality of switch modules communicated with a plurality of corresponding accessory modules; wherein the processor panel receives instructions and sends the instructions to the control panel that causes the control panel to: activate the switch modules, in response to the activation of the switch modules, activating the accessory modules.
VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly and a camera disposed at the interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly behind and viewing through an electrochromic mirror reflective element into the interior cabin of the vehicle. Supplemental sources of near infrared illumination are integrated into the mirror assembly that, when powered to emit near infrared light, illuminate at least the driver-side front seating area within the interior cabin of the vehicle. Presence of the camera is not readily apparent to an occupant of the vehicle. The camera at least (a) views the driver-side front seating area of the equipped vehicle and (b) views a passenger-side front seating area of the equipped vehicle. The driver of the equipped vehicle is monitored via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera.
VEHICLE-MOUNTED ALERT SYSTEM AND ALERT CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle-mounted alert system includes display devices equipped to a vehicle, a sight line detection device detecting driver's sight line, a surrounding monitoring device detecting a presence of an object near the vehicle and a direction of the object with respect to the vehicle, and an alert control device controlling the display devices to display an alert image for informing the driver of the presence of the object detected by the surrounding monitoring device. The alert control device controls the display device located in a direction of the sight line of the driver to display the alert image, and then, controls the display devices so that the alert image successively moves from the display device located in the direction of the sight line of the driver to the display device determined based on the direction of the object detected by the surrounding monitoring device.
USER INTERFACE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLES AND VEHICLE HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a user interface apparatus for vehicles including light sources, a touch sensor to sense touch, light guides to transfer light generated by the light sources, and a top cover to cover the light sources, the touch sensor and the light guides and to transmit light emitted from the light guides to the interior of a vehicle. The light sources includes a first light source and at least one second light sources, the light guides includes first and second light guides to receive light generated by the first light source and to transfer the light to first and second regions and at least one third light guide configured to receive light generated by the at least one second light source and to transfer the light to a third region, and light generated by the first light source is dispersed and provided to the first and second light guides.
