Forward facing imaging system
A forward facing imaging system for a vehicle includes an interior rearview mirror assembly mounted at an interior portion of a vehicle and a camera disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly. The camera has a forward field of view through a windshield of the vehicle. The camera captures image data and captured image data is recorded by a recording system. During operation of the vehicle, the recording system records image data, as it is captured over a given period of operation of the vehicle, in a closed-loop fashion onto electronic memory. Image data, as captured by the camera, is processed by an image processor in order to determine the presence of at least one object forward of the equipped vehicle.
INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR WITH GDO MODULE
An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror head having a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element, and a mirror mounting structure configured to adjustably mount the mirror head at an interior portion of a vehicle. A receiving portion is configured for receiving a portable self-contained garage door opening module at least partially thereat. The module includes a user input and a housing that houses (i) circuitry, (ii) a transmitter and (iii) a battery. The module is operable to wirelessly transmit responsive to actuation of the user input. With the module at the receiving portion of the mirror assembly, the user input is accessible by the vehicle driver. The module is configured to cooperate with the receiving portion to releasably secure the module at the interior rearview mirror assembly, with the module being releasable from the interior rearview mirror assembly.
VEHICULAR OVERHEAD CONSOLE INTEGRATED WITH INTERIOR MIRROR AND ELECTRONIC CONTENT
A vehicular accessory system includes an overhead console module having (i) a primary portion configured to attach at an interior portion of a vehicle, and (ii) a secondary portion that, with the primary portion attached at the interior portion of the vehicle, extends from the primary portion. The secondary portion extends along an interior surface of the vehicle and is spaced from and disposed below the interior surface of the vehicle. An interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head that includes a mirror reflective element and that is adjustably mounted at the overhead console module via a mounting structure. An electronic control unit (ECU) is disposed at the overhead console module and includes electronic circuitry and associated software. The ECU is operable to control a system of the vehicle and an electronic accessory of the interior rearview mirror assembly.
Interior rearview mirror system with battery powered toll transponder module
An interior rearview mirror system for a vehicle includes an interior rearview mirror assembly and a self-contained battery powered module releasably disposable at the mirror head of the mirror assembly. The self-contained battery powered module includes a toll transponder that communicates with an automated toll system. The mirror head has a receiving portion for receiving the self-contained battery powered module thereat. The receiving portion includes an opening established through a wall of the mirror casing. The self-contained battery powered module may be releasably retained at least partially in the receiving portion via a push-to-release mechanism. The self-contained battery powered module may be removable from the receiving portion via pushing at the self-contained battery powered module to release the self-contained battery powered module from the push-to-release mechanism.
INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR SYSTEM WITH BATTERY POWERED MODULE
Vehicle display assemblage
A vehicle display assemblage that includes a base portion and a clamp portion, the base portion has an upper clamp portion with a downward facing clamp surface and the clamp portion includes an upward facing clamp surface, a means of drawing the downward and upward facing clamp surfaces together for a clamping relation about a sideview mirror of a vehicle, and display indicia secured with the vehicle display assemblage.
Interior rearview mirror with GDO module
An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror head having a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element, and a mirror mounting structure configured to adjustably mount the mirror head at an interior portion of a vehicle. A receiving portion of the mirror head is configured for receiving a portable self-contained garage door opening module at least partially thereat. The module is operable to wirelessly transmit a radio frequency signal responsive to actuation of a user input of the module. With the module at the receiving portion of the mirror head, the user input is accessible by the vehicle driver. A cover element is configured to detachably attach at the mirror casing at the receiving portion to releasably secure the module at the mirror head, with the module being releasable from the mirror head when the cover element is detached from the mirror casing.
Deployable rear view mirror mobile device holder
A mobile device holder for a rear-view mirror of a vehicle may include a mirror housing and a mobile device bracket arranged at least partially therein in a stored position, and a deployment mechanism connected to the bracket and including a torsion spring configured to rotatedly hinge the bracket from the stored position to a deployed position extending out of the housing in response to actuation of the torsion spring.
Mobile Phone Accessible Motorcycle Mirror
A mobile phone accessible motorcycle mirror includes a mirror housing, a phone opening, a one-way reflective surface, a stem, and a base portion. The one-way reflective surface is perimetrically connected to a rim of the mirror housing, completing a mirror section that allows the rider to see rearward. The stem tensionably and pivotably mounts the mirror housing to the handlebar of a motorcycle through the base portion. The phone opening traverses through the mirror housing, wherein the phone opening enables a mobile phone to be slidably placed behind the one-way reflective surface. Resultantly, when the mobile phone is illuminated, the mobile phone displays a GPS application of the mobile phone through the one-way reflective surface. When the mobile phone is not illuminated, the one-way reflective surface immediately returns to a completely reflective surface and a functioning mirror.
