A Camera/lens mounting platform (also referred to hereafter as the “platform”) for attachment to the window opening in a vehicle door is described. The platform is configurable to clamp to the doors of many, if not most, passenger cars and light duty trucks when a door's window is fully or nearly fully retracted. The platform offers a firm connection to the vehicle door and high stability to minimize blurring of photos and video.

An accessory mount device is provided for quickly securing an accessory, such as a vehicle recovery tool configured as a recovery board, to a vehicle and for quick subsequent release and removal of the tool from the mounting device. The device includes a support frame for mounting the device on a vehicle. The device includes a clamp for selectively engaging the recovery tool to secure the tool to the device. The mount device includes an actuator operably coupled to the clamp to actuate the clamp between an open position and a closed position. A tool support stanchion, as a portion of the support frame, is provided to support a portion of the vehicle recovery tool at a location apart from the clamp. The tool mount device may include a locking mechanism to retain the actuator in the closed position, particularly while driving the vehicle in rough conditions.

An apparatus for mounting within a vehicle, an object having at least one receptacle in a first main surface. The apparatus comprises a base having a mounting surface. A latch and a frame are movable between latched and unlatched positions and are biased toward the latched position by a first biasing element. One or more push buttons are movable between extended and depressed positions and are biased toward the extended position by a second biasing element. A lower portion of the push button blocks and allows movement of the frame toward the latched position when the push button is in the extended and depressed position, respectively. The first main surface pushes the push button to the depressed position, thereby enabling the first biasing element to move the latch and the frame to the latched position, in which the latch engages with the at least one receptacle.

The apparatus comprises a base configured to receive the object, the base comprising a mounting surface and a docking surface. A docking connector is coupled to the docking surface and is configured to electrically connect with the one or more electrical contacts of the object. The docking connector is movable relative to the docking surface between a first position and a second position. When the docking connector is electrically connected with the one or more electrical contacts of the object, a second main surface of the object is positioned obliquely relative to the mounting surface in the first position of the docking connector and the second main surface of the object is aligned in contact with the mounting surface in the second position of the docking connector.

A mobile device case apparatus and method are provided that include a frame, a stand, at least one magnet, and rubber coating over the at least one magnet. The frame and stand can be 3D-printed. The frame is configured to secure a mobile device into the frame. The frame includes at least one magnet. The bottom of the stand can have a rubber coating to prevent the case from slipping when the case adheres to a metal. The stand is configured to support the weight of the apparatus and prop the mobile device up for viewing. The stand can also be configured to be a receive a mechanical element of a vehicle such as a wheelchair.
