VEHICLE INTERIOR PANEL ASSEMBLY HAVING A STOWAGE TRAY FOR A MOBILE DEVICE
A vehicle interior panel assembly includes an in-vehicle support substrate and a stowage tray for a mobile device. The stowage tray includes a reception surface for the mobile device, and one or more sliders configured to attach the stowage tray to the support substrate. The one or more sliders are further configured to tilt the reception surface with respect to a sowed position for the stowage tray in the support substrate. This structure for a stowage tray helps improve within vehicle integration and support more flexible useability.
VEHICLE INTERIOR PANEL HAVING A DOCKING STATION FOR A MOBILE DEVICE
A vehicle interior panel includes an in-vehicle support substrate and a docking station for a mobile device. The docking station includes a top edge, a bottom wall, and a reception surface for the mobile device between the top edge and the bottom wall. The reception surface is pivotably attached with respect to the support substrate. A first portion of the bottom wall is configured to hold the mobile device, and a second portion of the bottom wall is configured to remain recessed within the support substrate when the docking station is in a tilted position. This structure for a docking station helps improve within vehicle integration.
Display Device, Vehicle and Method for Operating a Display Device
A display device for the interior of a vehicle includes: (i) a display unit, which is designed for optical display of information and has a display element for this purpose and which can be or is arranged in a longitudinal extension direction of the vehicle behind a front row of seats, preferably on a roof lining of the vehicle; (ii) a movement unit, which is designed to move the display unit, in particular with the display element pivoted away from the roof lining of the vehicle, in the longitudinal extension direction, in particular controllably, between various working positions and/or to hold the display unit in a given working position; and (iii) a control unit which is designed to control the movement unit in such a way that the display unit and the display element are arranged at a predetermined first distance or first distance range from an element of the front row of seats.
APPARATUSES THAT PROVIDE A MOUNT AND A STAND FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES
An apparatus for mounting a portable electronic device to a pair of spaced apart posts (e.g., of a vehicle headrest or a suitcase), is also useful as a stand to support a portable electronic device at an angle relative to a horizontal support surface on which the apparatus rests. The apparatus includes a first element configured to be selectively attached to a pair of spaced apart posts by application of an external compressive or expansive force to thereby decrease or increase a distance between portions of the first element until grips of the first element can be aligned with and attached to the spaced apart posts, and then removing the external compressive or expansive force. The apparatus also includes a second element that is attached to the first element and is configured to selectively hold a portable electronic device. The apparatus, when used as a stand, functions like a tripod.
DOUBLE HOOK ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
A tablet device holder assembly may include a housing defining an housing opening and including a housing lip arranged on a first side of the housing above the housing opening, and a removable bezel having a projection configured to extend through the housing opening and defining a projection opening that when the bezel is rotated to an installed state, the lip is received within the projection opening to maintain the bezel on the housing.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE HOLDER FOR SEAT
A portable electronic device holder for a passenger seat includes a base plate, a back plate pivotally attached to the base plate, and at least one movable arm attached to the back plate. The back plate may be adjustable relative to the base plate over a range of approximately 0° to 90°.
Monitor mounting apparatus
A monitor mounting apparatus for use in connection with passenger vehicles such as aircraft, trains, and buses. The unique pivoting mechanism of the mounting apparatus permits lowering of the monitor in a manner that permits the top of the monitor screen to be visible even to the tallest of passengers.
Low-profile, backlit, panel assembly for displaying images and/or data within a passenger compartment of a vehicle
A low-profile, backlit panel assembly and a controller for displaying images and/or data within a passenger compartment of a vehicle are provided. The assembly includes a substrate panel perforated with a two-dimensional array of closely-spaced holes. The panel is configured to be attached to a support structure of the vehicle. The assembly further includes a plurality of semiconductor-based, lighting devices supported at a back surface of the panel. Each of the lighting devices includes at least one lighting element. Each of the lighting elements is individually addressable by the controller to control luminous intensity of the light emitted by the at least one lighting element. Each of the lighting devices is aligned with one of the holes so that light emitted by each of the lighting devices travels through its hole to the passenger compartment in the form of a pixel of a two-dimensional image.
Vehicle seat display assembly
A display assembly for a vehicle seat includes a housing portion that defines a space for receiving a display. The housing portion includes an angled rear wall. A coupling ledge extends from the angled rear wall. The coupling ledge defines a receiving slot within a recess. A coupling extension has a top edge and a bottom edge. The top edge of the coupling extension is coupled to a bottom of the housing portion. A hook is coupled to and extends from an inner surface of the coupling extension. The hook is disposed adjacent to the bottom edge of the coupling extension.
Mounting device for headrest of vehicle seat
A mounting device for a smart device is adapted for removable connection to a headrest of a vehicle seat. The mounting device includes a first clamp including a first opening adapted for sliding receipt of a first headrest post of the headrest, and a second clamp separate from the first clamp and including a second opening adapted for sliding receipt of a second headrest post of the headrest. An adjustment mechanism operably connects the first clamp and the second clamp. The adjustment mechanism includes a cam latch aligned along a lateral distance separating the first clamp from the second clamp. The cam latch has a released position allowing for selective adjustment of the lateral distance between the first clamp from the second clamp and an engaged position for fixing the lateral distance between the first clamp and the second clamp.
