An airbag apparatus includes a gas generator and an airbag. The gas generator includes a gas generator main body and at least one mounting protrusion. The airbag includes a first fabric portion, a second fabric portion, and a storage chamber located between the first fabric portion and the second fabric portion. Part of the storage chamber is constituted by the first fabric portion. The storage chamber includes as insertion port, which allows the gas generator to be inserted, and one or more mounting holes, which allow the at least one mounting protrusion to be passed. The rearmost one in the insertion direction of the one or more mounting holes is a rearmost mounting hole. The storage chamber further includes an opening promoting portion, which is located between the insertion port and the rearmost mounting hole and causes the insertion port to open.

Disclosed is a driver airbag apparatus for a vehicle configured to be deployed from the region behind a steering wheel, having at the center portion thereof an obstacle, toward the region in front of the steering wheel while avoiding the obstacle. The driver airbag apparatus includes an airbag housing disposed behind the steering wheel, an airbag cushion accommodated in the airbag housing and configured to be deployed by gas injected thereinto toward the region in front of the steering wheel through a space between the obstacle and the steering wheel, and a housing cover coupled to the airbag housing so as to cover an opening in the airbag housing and configured to be ruptured by the deployment pressure of the airbag cushion so as to open the airbag housing to a limited angle toward the region in front of the steering wheel.

An assembly includes a seatbelt and an inflation chamber connected to the seatbelt. The inflation chamber is inflatable from an undeployed state to a deployed state. The inflation chamber includes a first inflation chamber and a second inflation chamber. The first inflation chamber is positioned above the second inflation chamber.

Disclosed is a driver airbag apparatus for a vehicle configured to be deployed from the region behind a steering wheel, having at the center portion thereof an obstacle, toward the region in front of the steering wheel while avoiding the obstacle. The driver airbag apparatus includes an airbag housing disposed behind the steering wheel, an airbag cushion accommodated in the airbag housing and configured to be deployed by gas injected thereinto toward the region in front of the steering wheel through a space between the obstacle and the steering wheel, and a housing cover coupled to the airbag housing so as to cover an opening in the airbag housing and configured to be ruptured by the deployment pressure of the airbag cushion so as to open the airbag housing to a limited angle toward the region in front of the steering wheel.

An assembly includes a seatbelt and an inflation chamber connected to the seatbelt. The inflation chamber is inflatable from an undeployed state to a deployed state. The inflation chamber includes a first inflation chamber and a second inflation chamber. The first inflation chamber is positioned above the second inflation chamber.

An airbag apparatus includes a gas generator and an airbag. The gas generator includes a gas generator main body and at least one mounting protrusion. The airbag includes a first fabric portion, a second fabric portion, and a storage chamber located between the first fabric portion and the second fabric portion. Part of the storage chamber is constituted by the first fabric portion. The storage chamber includes as insertion port, which allows the gas generator to be inserted, and one or more mounting holes, which allow the at least one mounting protrusion to be passed. One general aspect includes an airbag module, including: a housing. The airbag module also includes a cushion disposed within the housing. The airbag module also includes a chute having a first side and a second side with a seam centrally formed therebetween, where each of the first and second sides include a plurality of fingers which operatively cooperate to define a track configured to slidably attach the housing to the chute such that the chute sufficiently encloses the cushion within the housing, and where the chute is configured to open during deployment of the cushion.

A gas generator includes an igniter assembly configured to release the combustion product and including an igniter body, the igniter body including an igniter cup ruptured by a combustion product and an electro-conductive pin that supplies a current, a collar portion holding the igniter body, and a holding portion interposed between the igniter body and the collar portion, a housing including a combustion chamber accommodating a gas generating agent, and including a gas discharge port through which a combustion gas is discharged, and an elastic member being disposed between the igniter assembly and the gas generating agent with an axial direction of the elastic member being in a direction same as a direction of the housing, the elastic member including a regulation portion at an inner periphery thereof, the regulation portion being configured to regulate a direction in which the igniter cup ruptured expands.

One general aspect includes an airbag module, including: a housing. The airbag module also includes a cushion disposed within the housing. The airbag module also includes a chute having a first side and a second side with a seam centrally formed therebetween, where each of the first and second sides include a plurality of fingers which operatively cooperate to define a track configured to slidably attach the housing to the chute such that the chute sufficiently encloses the cushion within the housing, and where the chute is configured to open during deployment of the cushion.

A gas generator includes: an ignition device attached to one end side of a housing; a combustion chamber formed inside the housing and configured to accommodate a gas generating agent; a diffuser portion in a cup shape formed on the other end side of the housing and including a plurality of gas discharge ports; a filter at least partially accommodated inside the diffuser portion, the filter internally including a hollow flow path directed from an open end side toward a closed end side of the diffuser portion, the flow path including a first section including one end connected to the combustion chamber and a second section connected to the other end of the first section; and a block portion configured to bring a communication state between the first section and the second section when the combustion pressure is equal to or greater than the critical threshold.
