A dual-web retractor includes a frame having first, second and third sidewalls spaced apart from one another with the second sidewall positioned between the first and third sidewalls, a spool rotatably mounted to and between the first, second and third sidewalls, the spool having a first spool section defined between the first and second sidewalls and a second spool section defined between the second and third sidewalls, a first web having one end coupled to the first spool section, and a second web having one end coupled to the second spool section, wherein rotation of the spool causes the first and second webs to be simultaneously paid taken up on or paid out from the first and second respective spool sections.

When the roll shaft (6) is forced upwards pivot until the ratchet (6302) of the roll shaft (6) abuts against the pawl (62), the roll shaft (6) can still rotate; when the object (71) changes the direction to downwards move, the pawl (62) engages with the ratchet (6302) of the roll shaft (6) to prevent the rotation of the roll shaft (6) and loses the engagement with the ratchet (6302) of the roll shaft (6) as the roll shaft (6) downwards pivots.

The seatbelt pretensioning retractor assembly includes a housing adapted for being mounted to a frame and having an interior cavity, a pretensioner tube having an arcuate and curved shape, a sprocket rotatably mounted to the housing and fixedly coupled to a spindle, a driving element as a pretensioner rod disposed within the tube and a guide plate having a guide portion and a rod guide. The pretensioner rod extends in a longitudinal direction from a proximal end portion to a distal end portion. In addition, the pretensioner rod forms a recessed portion or a recessed section to facilitate engaging with the sprocket during pretensioning.
