PROJECTION ON A VEHICLE WINDOW

A system includes a camera aimed externally to a vehicle, a window of the vehicle, a projector positioned to project on the window, and a computer communicatively coupled to the camera and the projector. The computer is programmed to, upon receiving data from the camera indicating a first person outside the vehicle, instruct the projector to project an image on the window depicting a second person inside the vehicle.

METHOD AND APPARATUS WITH VEHICLE CONTROL

A processor-implemented vehicle controlling method includes: determining whether an object in a vehicle is a living object based on radio detection and ranging (radar) information received from a radar sensor; in response to a determination that the object is a living object, determining bioinformation of the object based on the radar information; and adjusting a temperature in the vehicle based on the bioinformation and temperature information received from a temperature sensor.

Intrusion detection system for a vehicle and associated vehicle and method

An intrusion detection system for a vehicle includes a radar sensor, a calculator, and an alarm system adapted to generate an alarm, the radar sensor being adapted to detect the presence of a body within the vehicle, the calculator being adapted to categorize each detected body as either a “human” category or an “other” category and to trigger the alarm system only when at least one of the detected body(ies) is categorized as “human”. Also included is an associated vehicle and method.

Systematic integration via an intrusion detection device

A vehicle theft-prevention apparatus can include at least one computing device couple to a plurality of sensors and a wireless transceiver. The plurality of sensors can be configured to sense measurements proximate to a vehicle. The at least one computing device can be configured to read a plurality of first measurements of a first sensor of the plurality of sensors. Based on the plurality of first measurements from the first sensor, the at least one computing device can determine that a key fob moved outside of a range of the first sensor. In response to the key fob moving outside of the range of the first sensor, the at least one computing device can transition to an armed state. The at least one computing device can read a plurality of second measurements from a subset of the plurality of sensors. Based on the plurality of second measurements, the at least one computing device can determine that a person has entered the vehicle.

In accordance with a first aspect of the present disclosure, a system is provided for facilitating detecting an unauthorized access to an object, the system comprising: a plurality of ultra-wideband (UWB) communication nodes; a controller operatively coupled to said plurality of UWB communication nodes, wherein the controller is configured to: cause at least one of the UWB communication nodes to transmit one or more UWB messages to other UWB communication nodes of said plurality of UWB communication nodes; receive a channel impulse response (CIR) estimate and/or one or more parameters relating to said CIR output by the UWB communication nodes in response to receiving said UWB messages; analyze said CIR estimate and/or said parameters relating to the CIR to detect said unauthorized access to the object. In accordance with a second aspect of the present disclosure, a corresponding method is conceived for facilitating detecting an unauthorized access to an object. In accordance with a third aspect of the present disclosure, a computer program is provided for carrying out said method.

Vehicular safety monitoring

Disclosed herein is a vehicle theft prevention device. The device can include a data store including event configuration data. The device can include one or more sensors that can sense various types of measurements proximate to a vehicle. The device can include a computing device in communication with the sensors. The computing device can read measurements from the sensors and determine that a particular event has occurred. The computing device can analyze the measurements to determine the particular event occurred based on the event configuration data. When the particular event occurs, the computing device can perform one or more remedial actions.

A method for detecting theft of a vehicle, includes the following steps: detecting a vehicle movement by an inductive vehicle charging system, checking the authorization for a detected vehicle movement, and outputting a message signal if an unauthorized vehicle movement is detected. The checking of the authorization for a detected vehicle movement is started after the start of a vehicle charging process.

Vehicle cover and integrated security system

A system includes a vehicle cover, a mechanical tensioning device, a memory device, storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute instructions to perform the steps of a method to secure a vehicle. The mechanical tensioning device may include attachment means to attach the device to a wheel of the vehicle and means to attach a security cable of the vehicle cover integrated into a bottom edge of the vehicle cover to the mechanical tensioning device. The mechanical tensioning device may include a rotational reel connected to either a tensioning motor or a tensioning crank and optionally including either a mechanical bi-stable device or one or more sensors configured to monitor the tension of the security cable when engaged to the mechanical tensioning device. The processor may monitor for a change in tension and execute one or more security measures in response.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING CARRIED OBJECTS TO ADAPT VEHICLE ACCESS

System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to adapting vehicle access by detecting a person carrying an object. In one embodiment, a method includes detecting a person near a vehicle for gaining access. The method also includes scanning the person for an object using a radar of the vehicle, wherein information from the radar indicates densities of the person and the object. Upon detecting the object using the densities, the method also includes adapting the access to a compartment of the vehicle.
