An authentication device includes a last session information storage portion that stores data of a first registered person successfully authenticated in the last session, an input unit to which information of a second registered person successfully authenticated by another authentication device is input, an information acquisition unit that acquires identification information of a user via an information sensor, a registered person information storage portion that stores registered person information in which a plurality of registered persons including the first and second registered persons are associated with their registration identification information, an authentication order information storage portion that stores information about an authentication order of the registered persons, and an authentication unit that authenticates the user by comparing the identification information acquired from the information acquisition unit with the registration identification information stored in the registered person information storage portion according to the stored authentication order.

A vehicle management system includes a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to acquire location information relating to a location of the vehicle, determine if the vehicle has arrived at a destination based on the location information, and provide a signal to switch at least one of a transmission of the vehicle or a braking subsystem of the vehicle from an operational condition to a locked condition in response to at least the vehicle arriving at the destination, thereby preventing undesired operation of the vehicle.

A system for limiting vehicle operation is disclosed. An exterior trim for a motor vehicle has a body that forms a surface of the exterior trim. The body has an exterior surface and an interior surface, and defines a recess or cut-out. The body has a single undulating wall formed on the interior surface of the body substantially perpendicular to a plane defined by the body, and the single undulating wall at least partially surrounds the recess or cut-out. The exterior trim also includes a human-machine interface (HMI) device disposed at least partially within the recess or cut-out of the body. The HMI device may be used to externally control certain features of the motor vehicle.
