In a case where a non-history position start for starting an engine based on a remote operation at a position at which a position of a vehicle is different from a start history position having a start history of the engine is executed, a limitation condition for limiting an engine start is tightened as compared to a case where a history position start for starting the engine based on the remote operation at the start history position is executed. That is, in a case where the non-history position start is executed, it is difficult to start the engine. As a result, it is possible to take more appropriate measures when the engine is started based on the remote operation.

FACE RECONGITION BASED VEHICLE ACCESS CONTROL

A method for face recognition based vehicle access control. The method may include acquiring one or more images of at least a face of a person that is positioned outside the vehicle and accesses a door of the vehicle in order to determine, based on the one or more images, whether the person is allowed to enter the vehicle. The determination may include matching the face of the person to a database of faces of allowed persons. The database is generated during a machine learning process that involves monitoring persons within the vehicle; and then granting access to the vehicle when determining that the person is allowed to enter the vehicle.

Method for controlling a locking element of a vehicle
11518341 · 2022-12-06 · ·

A method for controlling at least one locking element of a vehicle is disclosed. A mobile identification transmitter is detected at a position in a certain access region around the vehicle. Furthermore, a user signal is output to a user carrying the mobile identification transmitter after the mobile identification transmitter has stayed at the position for a first predetermined duration. In addition, the at least one locking element is unlocked/opened after the mobile identification transmitter further stays at the position for a second predetermined duration after the user signal is output. For the targeted control of the automatic unlocking or opening of the vehicle door, the process of unlocking or opening is terminated if a termination signal from the user is detected within the second predetermined duration.

Method for user authentication of vehicle in autonomous driving system and apparatus thereof
11500974 · 2022-11-15 · ·

A method and an apparatus for user authentication of a vehicle in an autonomous driving system are disclosed. The method includes determining an authentication value indicating matching accuracy of authentication data entered for a passenger of the vehicle and authentication information of a caller of the vehicle, determining a driving setting of the vehicle based on the authentication value, driving on a pre-driving route according to the driving setting, performing decryption for encrypted data blocks related to the passenger received from an infra apparatus located on the pre-driving route, using a key value of the passenger, determining a destination of the vehicle based on whether the decryption for the encrypted data blocks succeeds or fails, and controlling the vehicle to drive to the destination. An autonomous vehicle of the present invention can be associated with artificial intelligence modules, drones (unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)), robots, augmented reality (AR) devices, virtual reality (VR) devices, devices related to 5G service, etc.

SYSTEM FOR MANAGING ACCESS TO A VEHICLE BY A SERVICE PROVIDER THAT IS TO PROVIDE A SERVICE ASSOCIATED WITH THE VEHICLE
20230101560 · 2023-03-30 ·

In some implementations, a system may receive an access request associated with an agent and the vehicle. The system may authenticate, based on an agent identification associated with the agent, the agent in association with providing the vehicle service. The system may send, based on authenticating the agent, an authorization request to a user associated with the vehicle, wherein the authorization request is sent to a user device associated with the user that enables the user to authorize the agent to access the vehicle in association with providing the vehicle service. The system may receive, from the user device, a user authorization that authorizes the agent to access the vehicle. The system may configure the vehicle to enable the agent to access the vehicle via a client device associated with the agent.

ELECTRONIC KEY SYSTEM
20230097837 · 2023-03-30 · ·

An electronic key system includes a door unit, an installed device, a portable device, at least one processor, and a storage medium storing. The storage medium stores a program that causes the processor to execute a composite authentication process and a simple authentication process. The composite authentication process permits unlocking of the door unit if all of the following conditions are satisfied: key information output from the portable device matches pre-registered key information; a user's motion matches pre-registered first motion information; and the motion matches pre-registered second motion information. The simple authentication process is executed during the time from locking of the door unit to elapse of a preset time or from locking of the door unit to when the portable device is located outside an authentication notification area. The simple authentication process permits unlocking of the door unit if the key information matches the pre-registered key information.

AUTHENTICATION OF A DRIVER OF A VEHICLE FOR A VEHICLE EXPERIENCE
20230098405 · 2023-03-30 ·

In some implementations, a system may receive, from a user device, a service request for a vehicle experience. The system may obtain qualification information associated with the driver. The system may provide, based on the qualification information and to the user device, a verification code for authenticating a driver for the vehicle experience. The system may provide a notification that indicates that the driver requested the vehicle experience. The notification may include driver information and vehicle information associated with a vehicle involved in the vehicle experience. The system may authenticate, based on scan data of the verification code, the driver for the vehicle experience. The scan data may be received from an agent device that is associated with the location management system. The system may provide authentication information to the agent device to facilitate authentication of the driver for the vehicle experience.

PROVISIONING A VEHICLE EXPERIENCE ACCORDING TO AN AUTHENTICATION OF A DRIVER FOR THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCE
20230100264 · 2023-03-30 ·

In some implementations, a vehicle experience system may receive a service request associated with a vehicle. The vehicle experience system may qualify a driver for a vehicle experience involving the vehicle. The vehicle experience system may provide, to a user device associated with the driver, a verification code for authenticating the vehicle experience involving the driver and the vehicle. The vehicle experience system may provide, to a location management system associated with the vehicle, a notification that the vehicle is to be involved in the vehicle experience. The vehicle experience system may provide, to the location management system and based on receiving scan data being associated with the verification code, the authentication of the vehicle experience to enable a provisioning device to facilitate access to the vehicle.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING AN IN-VEHICLE CRYPTOGRAPHIC MANAGER
20220353075 · 2022-11-03 ·

An in-vehicle encryption system for use in a vehicle comprising a plurality of vehicle subsystems. The system comprises a security ECU module that communicates with a remote cryptographic module, the security ECU module comprising a processor and a per vehicle master secret (PVMS) value stored in the security ECU module. The security ECU module uses the PVMS value to authenticate with the remote cryptographic module and to establish an external encrypted communication link with the remote cryptographic module. The system further comprises a first subsystem ECU module that generates a first globally unique identifier (GUID) and a second subsystem ECU module that generates a second GUID. The security ECU module uses the first GUID value to establish a first encrypted communication link with the first subsystem ECU module.
