Modular roof rack assembly and reconfiguration method
A motor vehicle roof rack assembly according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, side rails of a roof rack. The side rails each extend longitudinally from a first end portion to a second end portion. The assembly also includes crossbars of the roof rack. The roof rack is configured to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration, In the first configuration, the first end portions of the side rails are each coupled to a corner. In the second configuration, the first end portions of the side rails are each coupled to a rail extender.
SIDE STEP KIT FOR VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE INCLUDING SIDE STEP ASSEMBLY
A side step assembly can be installed on a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle. The side step kit can include a vehicle step stay and a side step cover. The vehicle step stay can include a first stay member and a second stay member. The first stay member can be configured to be attached onto a frame assembly of the vehicle. The second stay member can be configured to be attached to the first stay member and onto the frame assembly. The side step cover can be supported by the vehicle step stay when the vehicle step stay is connected to the frame assembly and the side step cover is mounted on the vehicle step stay. The side step cover can include a tread surface extending above and along the first stay member when the side step cover is mounted on the vehicle step stay.
Cargo Trailer Ladder Assembly
A cargo trailer ladder assembly for safely entering or exiting a cargo trailer includes a pair of load locks that is each extendable between walls of a cargo trailer for securing cargo in the cargo trailer. A ladder is included that has a plurality of engagement points thereon. Each of the load locks is positionable in respective ones of the engagement points for storing the load locks with the ladder. The ladder is positionable to engage the cargo trailer to facilitate a user to safely climb into or out of the cargo trailer. A strap is removably coupled to the ladder and the strap can be slung over the user's shoulder for carrying the ladder.
PEDAL WITH ANTI-COLLISION DETECTION AND RADAR INSTALLATION SPACE
A pedal with anti-collision detection is installed on the rear of a vehicle. The pedal includes a pedal body and a radar device, with an insertion portion extending from the rear lateral side of the pedal body. Arc ribs are arranged from a rear lateral side of the pedal body toward a front lateral side of the pedal body at intervals, and straight ribs extend from the rear lateral side toward the front lateral side in a radial arrangement. The arc ribs and the straight ribs are interlaced, forming reinforcement spaces therebetween. An installation space is formed on an inner side of the front lateral side toward the rear lateral side for receiving the radar device. Each reinforcement space contains a reinforcement structure, thereby strengthening the structural strength of the pedal for protecting the radar device.
INTEGRATED REMOVABLE BUMPER TRACTION DEVICES
A vehicle is provided with an integrated and removable traction device, such as a tread board. The traction device may be integrated into a bumper of the vehicle. When mounted/installed on the bumper, the traction device can act as a cover to a storage unit implemented in the bumper. When removed, the traction device can be placed under a wheel of the vehicle to provide increased traction on certain surfaces. By integrating the traction device into the vehicle's bumper area, the traction device need not occupy, e.g., interior storage space of the vehicle.
Vehicle running boards with removable steps
Running boards for vehicles are disclosed that each include a rail with one or more steps. The step(s) are releasably connectable to (supported by) the rail (e.g., via a plurality of removable mechanical fasteners) to allow for removal of the step(s) when additional ground clearance is necessary and/or desirable, such as, for example, during off-road use of the vehicle. The rail of each running board is connectable to an underside of the vehicle (e.g., via brackets) such that the rails are positioned to absorb impact from external objects, such as, for example, rocks, boulders, stumps, etc., traversed during travel across uneven ground, and thereby protect the vehicle. In certain embodiments, the rails may include internal supports (e.g., stiffening ribs) to increase the strength and/or the rigidity of the rail, and, thus, increase the protection to the vehicle provided by the running boards.
LADDER RACK ASSEMBLY
A ladder rack assembly for connecting at least one ladder to a vehicle. The ladder rack assembly includes a frame configured to connect to a roof of the vehicle; a first retention hook connected to a first laterally extending frame portion; a second retention hook connected to a second laterally extending frame portion; and an over-center latch connected to a longitudinally extending frame portion, the first retention hook, the second retention hook, and the over-center latch being arranged to secure the at least one ladder to the vehicle. When the at least one ladder is installed on the ladder rack assembly, the retention hooks and the over-center latch are disposed laterally on an exterior of the ladder.
Vehicle Cab Access Assembly
A vehicle cab access assembly for easier and safer egress and ingress includes a step fairing, which is mountable to a respective side of a vehicle, such as a cab over engine vehicle, so that the step fairing is positioned below a door positioned in a cab of the vehicle. The step fairing comprises three steps and facilitates egress and ingress to the cab of the vehicle.
STEPS FOR UTILITY VANS
A stair assembly for utility vans can include a top step and a lower step, each spanning horizontally between a pair of side rails. A mounting flange is disposed atop each side rail. An aperture is defined through the mounting flanges to allow for a pin to be employed to pivotally mount the stair assembly to a mounting plate in a van. When deployed, a portion of the bottom surface of the top step rests atop the top surface of the bumper of the van. The stair assembly can be folded upward into the van such that the door of the van can be closed without removing the stair assembly.
Driver access assist
A step assembly to be attached to a crossbar of a vehicle, the step assembly including a base subassembly including first and second side brackets configured to be coupled to an upper surface of a crossbar of a vehicle, and a stair subassembly including a plurality of step members arranged between first and second side members, wherein proximal ends of each of the first and second side members are configured to be rotatably coupled to the respective first and second side brackets such that the stair subassembly is selectively rotatable between a deployed position and a stored position.
