A threshold plate is securable between the stringers and is pivotable with the stowable stairs. A threshold plate hinge flange connected between the threshold plate and the mounting bracket hinge flange is pivotable relative to the mounting bracket hinge flange. A cam slot is disposed in the threshold plate hinge flange, and a gas spring is connected at one end to the mounting bracket hinge flange and at an opposite end in the cam slot of the threshold plate hinge flange. The opposite end of the gas spring is displaceable in the cam slot.

The movable tailgate portion is configured to cover the access opening in the tailgate when in a closed position of the movable tailgate portion. The tailgate also has a pocket opening for receiving the movable tailgate portion therein. The movable tailgate portion is slideably mounted to the tailgate for movement to an open position in which the movable tailgate portion is received in the pocket opening in the tailgate to uncover the access opening in the tailgate.

A agricultural vehicle includes a step assembly having a step and a tank that is movably mounted to the step. The step has a flat and horizontally oriented top side and an angled side extending from the top side. The tank is movably mounted to the step and is configured to move between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the stowed position of the tank, a first side of the tank is aligned with and parallel to the angled side to form a continuous angled surface. In the deployed position of the tank, a second side of the tank is aligned with and parallel to the top side to form a continuous horizontal step surface.

A system includes a structure having a wall, a doorway and a door that is repositionable between a first position wherein the door is clear of the doorway and a second position wherein the door occludes the doorway. The system also includes a stair carrier attached to the structure. A stair may be connected to the stair carrier. The stair carrier is repositionable between a first position wherein the entirety of the stair carrier is disposed on a first side of the wall and a second positon wherein a portion of the stair carrier extends through the doorway to a second side of the wall. The door is fully operable between the first position and the second position both when the stair carrier is in the first position and in the second position.

The door is fully operable between the first position and the second position both when the stair carrier is in the first position and in the second position.

Embodiments of the invention related generally to ladders and ramps and, more particularly, to collapsible ladders and ramps for a vehicle tailgate and related systems. In one embodiment, the invention provides a system comprising: a tailgate member for a vehicle, the tailgate member having: an interior wall; an exterior wall; and a cavity between the interior and exterior walls; at least one collapsible ladder device comprising: a pair of substantially parallel elongate members; a plurality of cross members, each of the plurality extending between and lying substantially perpendicular to the pair of substantially elongate members; and an attachment device for non-fixedly securing the at least one collapsible ladder device within the cavity of the tailgate member.
