WIPER CONTROL METHOD AND WIPER CONTROL APPARATUS
A wiper control technique is provided that can prevent a windshield from being damaged by a falling wiper blade during a wiper parking operation, even when a wiper arm is in a retreat position where the blade is raised and held away from the windshield. In one embodiment, the wiper arm is stopped for a predetermined time interval at a predetermined pause position when the wiper arm is positioned above a parked position and at the retreat position during the wiper parking operation, while the wiper arm is being swung downward toward a lower reversal position. The pause position is a position at which the wiper arm is able to fall toward the windshield to return to a base position. After a lapse of the predetermined time interval, the wiper arm is swung to the parked position.
LOW PROFILE LIFTER FOR WINDSHIELD BLADE
A lifter for windshield wiper blade includes a body having first and second opposite end portions. The body is horizontally elongate with a vertically low profile. The first and second end opposite portions are without any corners. The first opposite end portion releasably contacts the windshield when the body portion is positioned between a wiper arm and a windshield. The second opposite end portion releasably supports the wiper arm in a spaced apart relationship to the windshield when the first opposite end portion contacts the windshield and the body portion is positioned between the wiper arm and the windshield. The first and second end opposite portions are free from attachment to the wiper arm and the windshield, The body is supportively firm along the vertically low profile and vertically flexible along the second opposite end portion in supporting the wiper arm. The body has a positive water buoyancy.
Wiper blade lift system
A wiper system for clearing an outer surface of a window is disclosed and includes an arm, a frame, a blade, and an actuator operatively connected to the arm. The arm includes a parked position and defines a proximate end portion and a distal end portion. The arm is pivotable about the proximate end portion of the arm out of the parked position. The frame is pivotally connected to the distal end portion of the arm. The frame defines a lengthwise distance. The blade extends along at least a lengthwise portion of the frame. The blade defines an edge that is configured to contact the outer surface of the window when the arm is in the parked position. The actuator is configured to exert a force against the arm that is sufficient to urge the arm out of the parked position and away from the outer surface of the window.
Systems, vehicles, and methods for automatically deploying a windshield wiper blade to a deployed position
A system for automatically deploying a windshield wiper blade to a deployed position includes one or more processors, an actuator coupled to the windshield wiper blade and communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, one or more optical sensors communicatively coupled to the one or more processors that output an optical signal, and one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors. The one or more memory modules store logic that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to receive the optical signal output by the one or more optical sensors, detect whether an accumulation of a substance has formed on the vehicle based on the optical signal output by the one or more optical sensors, and deploy, with the actuator, the windshield wiper blade to the deployed position in response to detecting the accumulation of the substance.
Holder for motor vehicle wiper arms
A wiper arm holder for supporting first and second wiper arm elements located in extended position relative to a motor vehicle windshield. The holder includes a shaft section having a first end loop for attaching the shaft section to the first wiper arm element. The holder also includes a receiver section having a second end loop for attaching the receiver section to the second wiper arm element. The receiver section receives the shaft section and the shaft section is moveable relative to the receiver section. In use, the shaft section is moved to a desired position that changes a distance between the first and second wiper arm elements to place the first and second wiper arms in tension. Further, the holder includes a locking mechanism for locking the shaft section in the desired position. In an embodiment, the holder includes a rotatable support arm that abuts against the windshield to support the holder.
WIPER BLADE LIFT SYSTEM

The arm includes a parked position and defines a proximate end portion and a distal end portion. The arm is pivotable about the proximate end portion of the arm out of the parked position. The frame is pivotally connected to the distal end portion of the arm. The frame defines a lengthwise distance. The blade extends along at least a lengthwise portion of the frame. The blade defines an edge that is configured to contact the outer surface of the window when the arm is in the parked position. The actuator is configured to exert a force against the arm that is sufficient to urge the arm out of the parked position and away from the outer surface of the window.

Film hinge for a windshield wiper device
The present invention relates to a windscreen wiping device (100) for a vehicle, comprising a wiper blade (2) with an elongate upper part (10) and an elongate lower part (12), which are configured to be at least partially bendable. Furthermore, a plurality of connecting elements (18) for connecting the upper part (10) and the lower part (12) are provided, said connecting elements being spaced apart from one another along a longitudinal extent (8) of the wiper blade (2) and being designed to permit a movement of the upper part (10) and of the lower part relative to each other with a movement component along a longitudinal extent (8) of the wiper blade (2). Furthermore, a multiplicity of the plurality of connecting elements (18) are connected to the upper part (10) via a first film hinge in each case and to the lower part (12) via a second film hinge in each case. Furthermore, a film-hinge stop device is provided in order to limit a rotational movement of the connecting elements (18) relative to at least one part from the elongate upper part and the elongate lower part.
Glass-wiping device
A glass-wiping device comprises a machine body (1) and a control unit. The machine body (1) is provided with an edge detection unit (100), the edge detection unit (100) comprises a sensor switch (101, 101) and an action element (102). The action element (102) is provided at a lower end thereof with a contact leg (1021, 1021) that presses against the surface of a glass (200). When the contact leg (1021, 1021) leaves the surface of the glass (200), the action element (102) correspondingly generates a displacement and triggers the sensor switch (101, 101); the sensor switch (101, 101) transmits a switch signal to the control unit; the control unit controls, on the basis of the switch signal, the glass-wiping device to cease running or to change the running direction. The glass-wiping device has a simple structure, reduced costs, high sensitivity and great controllability, and effectively implements the detection of the edge of a plate glass.
