Windscreen wiper device

A windscreen wiper device comprising an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, a connecting device, a mounting head, and a longitudinal strip-shaped arm. The wiper blade is adapted to be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped. The wiper blade includes at least one groove in which an elastic, elongated carrier element is disposed. The connecting device is connected to the wiper blade. The mounting head transfers a reciprocal movement to the wiper blade. The longitudinal strip-shaped arm has a first end detachably connected to the mounting head through a snapping operation and a second end detachably connected to the connecting device through a snapping operation. The arm is made of a resilient material and is biased to exert a pressure onto the wiper blade towards the windscreen to be wiped.

Multiple wiper blade adapter for wiper blade assembly

A wiper system and, more specifically, wiper adapters are provided for wiper assemblies. The adapter engages retention features formed on the front end of the wiper arm, and the blade assembly is equipped with an adapter that mates with the arm geometry to secure itself together. The adapters mount to a common arm geometry and allow for ready, direct connection of the wiper arm to the adapter, which in turn connects to a wiper assembly.

A system for a wiper arm comprises an attachment which may be, for example, a nozzle bar, wherein the attachment comprises a snap-in means and a channel, wherein the system further comprises a wiper rod, wherein the wiper rod comprises a snap-in means which is complementary to the snap-in means of the attachment.

The system is configured such that the wiper rod can be inserted into the channel and then slid along the longitudinal axis of the channel in a direction (sliding direction) so far, until the snap-in means interlock, thereby preventing or limiting movement of the wiper rod within the channel and thus fixing the attachment to the wiper rod.

The adapter may be inserted into a trapezoidal groove, and the adapter may have a pin passage for receiving a pin from a wiper arm. The groove may receive a trapezoidal roller from a wiper arm. The connector may include a channel, and a bayonet style wiper arm may be secured in the channel as well as by the cap and by a pillar projecting from the channel. Other similar wiper arms may be connected with a wiper blade using the disclosed inventive concepts. A wiper blade assembly having a wiper strip, a force distribution structure, and a connector is also disclosed.
