A power transmission unit is configured to selectively generate pressurized hydraulic fluid for actuating the pair of hydraulically actuated wheel brakes. First and second two-position three-way valves are hydraulically connected to respective ones of the pair of hydraulically operated brakes and to both the master cylinder and the power transmission unit. The first and second three-way valves each are configured to selectively switch the respective hydraulically operated brake to receive fluid from a selected one of the master cylinder, in a backup braking mode, and the power transmission unit, in a normal non-failure braking mode.

ELECTRIC HYDRAULIC BRAKE

An electric hydraulic brake includes: wheel brakes configured to braking force to wheels of a vehicle; a reservoir storing brake oil; a master cylinder connected to the reservoir, and operated in conjunction with a main brake motor to generate pressure of the brake oil; a first controller configured to control the main brake motor; a hydraulic controller including a pump configured to form pressure of the brake oil in conjunction with an auxiliary brake motor, and a hydraulic block configured to selectively transmit the pressure of the brake oil formed in the master cylinder or the pump to the wheel brakes; and a second controller configured to control the auxiliary brake motor when the master cylinder or the first controller malfunctions. The hydraulic controller is provided with an auxiliary flow path to transmit the brake oil from the reservoir to the pump directly through the auxiliary flow path.

An isolation valve and a dump valve are associated with each wheel brake.

An overrunable test vehicle including an electronically-controlled anti-slip braking system for reducing wheel slip during rapid deceleration comprising: a chassis, at least one electric motor connected to a first axle, a hydraulic braking system connected with the chassis and at least a second axle, a rotational speed sensor for determining a rotational speed of a connected axle, a ground speed sensor, and a controller connected with the electric motor, the hydraulic braking system, the rotational speed sensor, and the ground speed sensor. The controller is configured to calculate a difference between the rotational speed of the axle and the ground speed of the chassis to determine a slip threshold of the wheels, actuate the hydraulic brake system to apply a first stopping force, control at least one motor parameter of the electric motor to apply a second stopping force. The first and second stopping forces combined are less than the slip threshold of the wheels such that the chassis rapidly decelerates free of a wheel slip condition.

A hydraulic pressure control unit (1) includes a base body (10) that is formed with a master cylinder port (11), a wheel cylinder port (12), and an internal channel (13) communicating the master cylinder port (11) and the wheel cylinder port (12) with each other. The master cylinder port (11) is formed in an upper surface (25) of the base body (10), and the wheel cylinder port (12) is formed in a lower surface (26) of the base body (10), the lower surface (26) opposing the upper surface (25). The internal channel (13) is configured not to be able to return a brake fluid in an accumulator (33) to the master cylinder port (11) without interposing an outlet valve (32). An inlet valve recess (18) and an outlet valve recess (19) are aligned in a direction in which the upper surface (25) and the lower surface (26) are aligned.
