An electropneumatic trailer supply module, for an electropneumatic parking brake system for a tractor vehicle/trailer combination, includes a supply connection configured to connect a compressed air supply, a trailer supply connection configured to deliver a supply pressure for a trailer vehicle, a pneumatically controlled main valve unit configured to provide the supply pressure to the trailer supply connection, and an electropneumatic pilot control unit configured to select at least a first control pressure at the pneumatically controlled main valve unit. When the first control pressure exceeds a predefined first threshold value of the pneumatically controlled main valve unit, the supply pressure provided to the trailer supply connection can be selected. When the first control pressure falls below the predefined first threshold value of the pneumatically controlled main valve unit, the trailer supply connection is configured to be vented.

An electropneumatic trailer control module (1) includes a trailer control connection (6) configured to deliver a trailer control pressure (pTC), an electropneumatic trailer control valve arrangement (20) configured to receive a supply pressure (pS) and to provide the trailer control pressure (pTC) and an electronic trailer control connection (24) for providing trailer braking control signals (STB) such that the trailer control pressure (pTC) can be modulated. The electropneumatic trailer control module (1) is characterized by a protection connection (10) for receiving a pneumatic protection pressure (pPR), and a tractor protection unit (22) configured to switch between a supply state (60) and a protection state (56). Parking brake valve device
A parking brake valve device for controlling a storage spring parking brake in an electropneumatic brake system includes a compressed air input configured to be connected to a compressed air supply, a parking brake output configured to control a storage spring parking brake, and a trailer-control control output configured to control a trailer control valve (TCV) for a trailer brake system. The parking brake valve device further includes a relay valve pilot control region and a relay valve, a TCV pilot control region configured to control the trailer-control control output, an inlet valve configured to be controlled with a first electrical control signal for supplying air to the TCV pilot control region and the relay valve pilot control region, and a connecting valve configured to be controlled by a second control signal to connect and disconnect the TCV pilot control region and the relay valve pilot control region.
BRAKING CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A TRAILER
A braking control system for a trailer includes a braking system on a semi-trailer with the brake application handle located at the inside rear of the trailer. The handle has a locking member so that personnel loading the trailer are able to apply and lock the brakes on the trailer, and only the person(s) holding the key are able to release the brakes. The system prevents the trailer from moving away from the dock plate and having the dock plate fall through the space between the moved trailer and the dock, injuring personnel and/or damaging equipment.
Adapter assembly for braking system
An adapter assembly for an electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) manifold system includes a housing having a mounting face that includes a plurality of ports. The housing also has a brake cylinder passageway, a reservoir passageway, and a brake cylinder exhaust passageway that are in fluid communication with the ports. The adapter assembly also includes an adapter valve configured to be in fluid communication with the brake cylinder passageway, the reservoir passageway, and the brake cylinder exhaust passageway. The adapter valve has a first position where the brake cylinder passageway and the reservoir passageway are in fluid communication while the brake cylinder passageway is isolated from the brake cylinder exhaust passageway. The adapter valve also has a second position where the brake cylinder passageway is isolated from the reservoir passageway while the brake cylinder passageway is in fluid communication with the brake cylinder exhaust passageway.
Air Control Valve Assembly
An air control valve assembly includes a semi-tractor that has an air brake system and a tanker trailer for containing a liquid. A gladhand air fitting is fluidly attachable to the air brake system and a valve is fluidly coupled to the gladhand air fitting. The valve is positionable in an open position to pass air through the valve and the valve is positionable in a closed position to inhibit air from passing through the valve. An air king fitting is fluidly coupled to the valve to receive the compressed air from the valve when the valve is in the open position. The air king fitting is releasably matable to the tanker trailer having the air king fitting. In this way the air king fitting can pressurize the interior of the tanker trailer for discharging fluid contained in the tanker trailer.
System for filling a trailer reservoir
A controller on a tractor portion of an articulated vehicle includes an electrical input port adapted to receive an electrical input signal based on a command to unpark a trailer portion of the articulated vehicle and an electronic processor adapted to: receive the electrical input signal from the electrical input port; identify, based on the electrical input signal, when the command to unpark the trailer is received at the electrical input port; and based on the command to unpark the trailer, transmit an electrical output signal to an electrical output port for causing supplemental compressed air to be communicated from the tractor to the trailer for filling an air tank on the trailer using a quick-fill mode.
