ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
An electronic parking brake system including: an electronic parking brake provided to generate a clamping force on a wheel of a vehicle; and a controller configured to estimate a weight of the vehicle based on a wheel pressure and a longitudinal acceleration of the vehicle at a time of service braking during driving, determine a clamping force required for parking based on the estimated weight of the vehicle during a parking operation, and operate the electronic parking brake to generate the determined clamping force.

A brake system includes a stroke detector configured to detect a stroke of a brake pedal and to output a signal; a first controller configured to generate ON/OFF signals for a brake lamp based on the signal from the stroke detector; and a second controller including a switch configured to receive the ON/OFF signals and control ON/OFF of the brake lamp, in which the first controller and the switch are directly connected to each other.
High Density Thermal Storage Arrangement
An energy transportation and grid support system utilizes at least one transportable containment module capable of storing thermal or chemical energy typically produced from renewable or geothermal sources and providing connectivity with energy conversion equipment typically located in a land or sea-based operating facility. The system includes circuitry to hookup to an adjacent electricity grid for the provision of grid support and/or piping to move thermal energy typically used to drive steam turbines generating electricity. The operating facility also includes a communication arrangement to link with and exchange operations control data with a grid or heating operator and the energy transportation operator. The invention is directed to both apparatus and method for the energy transportation and grid support system.
BRAKING SYSTEM, BRAKING METHOD, AND VEHICLE
A braking system includes a pedal assembly, a hydraulic assembly, a reversing assembly, a driving wheel assembly, a pedal feel simulator, and a first electronic control unit. The first electronic control unit is electrically connected to the reversing assembly, and controls the reversing assembly to switch a working location. The reversing assembly includes at least two working locations. When the reversing assembly is at a first working location, a brake fluid output port of the hydraulic assembly is connected to the driving wheel assembly through the reversing assembly. When the reversing assembly is at a second working location, the first electronic control unit is electrically connected to the driving wheel assembly, and controls the driving wheel assembly to provide brake force.
BRAKE SYSTEM
A brake system may include an actuation device, in particular a brake pedal; a first piston-cylinder unit with two pistons, in particular an auxiliary piston and a second piston, in order to supply brake circuits with a pressure medium via a valve device, wherein one of the pistons, in particular the auxiliary piston, can be actuated by means of the actuation device; a second piston-cylinder unit comprising an electric motor-powered drive, a transmission, and at least one piston in order to supply pressure medium to at least one of the brake circuits via a valve device; and a motor pump unit with a valve device in order to supply pressure medium to the brake circuits. The brake system may further include a hydraulic travel simulator which is connected to a pressure or working chamber of the first piston-cylinder unit.
AXLE AND METHOD FOR COMPENSATING FOR A DELAY
An axle for utility vehicles includes a first wheel end and a second wheel end arranged opposite each other and rotatably on the axle, a recovery device connected to the first wheel end configured to recover rotational energy of the first wheel end, a braking device configured to decelerate the second wheel end, and a control unit configured to determine information on a deceleration of the first wheel end which results from the recovery and/or a deceleration of the second wheel end, and to control the braking device and/or the recovery device such that the deceleration of the first wheel end and the deceleration of the second wheel end are matched to each other, wherein the control unit is configured to determine the information on the deceleration of the first wheel end based on the recovered rotational energy.
BRAKE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
The present disclosure in some embodiments provides a brake apparatus for a vehicle, comprising: a reservoir configured to store a working fluid; a master cylinder connected to the reservoir; a hydraulic circuit connected to a wheel brake; a primary brake unit configured to supply a hydraulic pressure to the wheel brake through the hydraulic circuit; and a secondary brake unit configured to supply a hydraulic pressure to the wheel brake through the hydraulic circuit, wherein the hydraulic circuit comprises: a first hydraulic circuit coupled to the reservoir, the master cylinder, and the secondary brake unit; a second hydraulic circuit coupled to the reservoir and the primary brake unit; and a third hydraulic circuit coupled to the primary brake unit, the secondary brake unit, and the wheel brake.
SAFETY AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR USE WHEN PULLING TRAILERS
A towing device operably provided on a trailer for powering and controlling the trailer. The towing device has an actuator operably connected with the trailer during a towing operation. The towing device also has at least one switch provided in the actuator and operable to variably control at least one motor/generator provided on the trailer. The at least one switch is also operable to send a first signal to the at least one motor/generator via a first force exerted on the actuator by a vehicle, and wherein a first torque is applied to at least one wheel on the trailer via the at least one motor/generator being operably engaged with the at least one wheel. In addition, the towing device may include a controller operably connected to the at least one switch and to the at least one motor/generator, to control the torque applied by the at least one motor/generator.
Vehicle braking control device
Provided is a vehicle braking control device applicable to a vehicle equipped with an electric-powered parking braking device, a hydraulic braking device and a regenerative braking device. The braking control device comprises a first braking control unit and a second braking control unit. When a parking braking operation is performed while the vehicle is travelling, the first braking control unit implements a first braking process which increases the braking force to the vehicle by operating the hydraulic braking device. When the braking force to the vehicle needs to be increased in a situation where the first braking process is being implemented, the second braking control unit implements a second braking process which increases the braking force to the vehicle by operating the regenerative braking device.
Brake by wire
An electrohydraulic actuator assembly for use in a brake-by-wire hydraulic brake system. The electrohydraulic actuator assembly includes a pair of electrohydraulic actuator EHA units. One EHA unit provides fluid to front brakes and the other EHA unit provides fluid to rear brakes. Each EHA unit includes an electric motor, a reduction gear unit, a pair of magnetorheological clutches, and a pair of fluid pumps. The system further including an ECU that actuates the electric motor and controls engagement of the clutches to cause the fluid pump to pump brake fluid to at least one of the front and rear brakes. The system further includes a regeneration system for providing supplemental electricity to the electric motors.
