Braking is applied to the vehicle body and/or acceleration of the vehicle body is suppressed, on the basis of the reliability of the second obstacle and the position of the second obstacle.

A subject vehicle is tested in a vehicle following scenario against VOSM parameter compliance. The test measures the subject vehicle activity during phases of the following scenario in which a lead vehicle slows and produces log data and calculations that form the basis of a VOSM compliance measurement.

A device and a method for decelerating a vehicle having a front-loading device has a brake system and sensors for measuring the mass and the center of gravity of a load. An electronic evaluation and control unit evaluates the sensor data to determine a maximum brake deceleration in forward travel, in order to prevent the vehicle tilting about the front axle. At least one sensor of the brake system generates a sensor signal in an emergency braking situation for triggering an emergency braking operation, in which the delimitation or reduction of the effective brake pressure in the wheel brake cylinders of the front axle is canceled and, with the exception of an ABS control operation, the full brake pressure is introduced in a controlled manner by way of a primary brake valve into the wheel brake cylinders of the front axle.

According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a collision warning apparatus of a vehicle may include an information acquisition device that obtains surrounding object information and vehicle information and a controller that generates collision prediction information of a surrounding object based on the surrounding object information and the vehicle information and provides a warning to an outside of the vehicle or generates control information for controlling braking of the vehicle while providing the warning to the outside of the vehicle based on the collision prediction information.

The present invention provides a method/device to improve braking performance on a wheeled vehicle comprising at least one driving axle, the wheeled vehicle further comprising a collision warning system and an emergency braking system and an air suspension system, the air suspension system comprising at least one air suspension module associated with the at least one driving axle and the air suspension system being configured to control the air pressure in the at least one air suspension module associated with the at least one driving axle, the collision warning system being configured to monitor the environment of the wheeled vehicle, and to determine if and when the emergency braking system may need to be actuated, so that when the collision warning system determines the emergency braking system may need to be actuated, the method being implemented by the collision warning system and comprising one step implemented before eventually actuating the emergency braking system, said step comprising actuating the air suspension system to increase the air pressure on the at least one of air suspension module associated with the at least one driving axle.

A driving assistance device recognizes traveling environment information on a vehicle, detects a moving object having a speed component from an outside of a traveling road of the vehicle to an inside of the traveling road, determines whether the moving object will collide with the vehicle based on movement information of the vehicle and the moving object, performs execution of emergency braking if a physical quantity indicating a correlation between the vehicle and the moving object is equal to or smaller than a preset threshold, and cancels the execution of the emergency braking if the physical quantity is equal to or smaller than the threshold and a structure that blocks entry of the moving object into the traveling road is present on a movement path of the moving object.
