SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE BASED ON PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF AN OCCUPANT
The present disclosure provides system and methods for a vehicle infotainment system (VIS) to monitor physiological parameters of occupants of a vehicle. The VIS also monitors vehicle operating parameters. The VIS is able to detect when an occupant is experiencing a physiological condition and correlates the physiological condition to one or more vehicle operating parameters. In response to detecting a physiological condition and to determining the correlation, the VIS causes an action to occur in order to mitigate the physiological condition and/or to seek assistance for the physiological condition.
DRIVING LIMITATION SYSTEM
A driving limitation system includes the steps of: identifying a driver by a driver authentication means; extracting information on the identified driver; extracting data relating to vehicle speed limitation according to the driver; extracting data relating to limitation in a vehicle traveling area according to the driver; performing selection or generation of map data regarding a traveling area; generating, on the basis of the extracted data relating to the vehicle speed limitation, vehicle traveling area limitation and the driver, a traveling speed control command within the limitation in the vehicle traveling area in accordance with the physical ability and/or cognitive ability of the driver; transmitting the traveling speed control command to a vehicle speed control means; generating a control command for controlling the vehicle speed on the basis of the safety speed indicated by the vehicle speed control means; and sending the control command to an engine and to a braking system to set the traveling speed of the vehicle to be equal to or lower than the safety speed according to the driver.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE METHOD AND DRIVER ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
A driver assistance method and a driver assistance apparatus are provided, which may be applied to the field of autonomous driving or intelligent driving. The driver assistance method includes: determining that a driver is in an abnormal state; determining that a first operation performed by the driver on a first terminal is an abnormal operation; and performing first processing, where the first processing includes outputting indication information and/or control information, and the indication information or the control information indicates a second operation performed on the first terminal, or the first processing includes controlling the first terminal to perform the second operation.
Microphone with structural matched filter for heart rate measurement
A system for acoustically monitoring a heartbeat includes an acoustic body having a first material in contact with a second material, a density and a propagation speed of sound of the first material is matched with a density and a propagation speed of sound of a human body, and a density and a propagation speed of sound of the second material is matched with the density and the propagation speed of sound of the first material, a covering material in contact with a first surface of the acoustic body formed by the first material, and a microphone acoustically coupled to a second surface of the acoustic body formed by the second material.
INTERACTIVE SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED INTERACTION METHOD
The invention relates to an interactive system (1) with a user (U) occupying a motor vehicle (100) comprising an interface (3) and an operating system for executing an application. According to the invention, the interactive system (1) comprises a measuring device (5) comprising at least one sensor that is configured to acquire at least one physiological parameter of the user (U), and an embedded processing unit (7). The processing unit (7) comprises an interpretation module that is configured to receive the physiological parameter and to define, on the basis of the physiological parameter, a datum representative of the physiological or emotional state of the user (U), and an analysis module that is configured to compare data representative of the physiological or emotional state of the user (U) before and during the execution of an application for managing a remediation exercise, and to adjust at least one parameter of the remediation exercise according to the results of the comparison. The invention also relates to an interaction method implemented at least partly by such an interactive system.
Trip based characterization using micro prediction determinations
A system for characterizing driver behavior includes an interface and a processor. The interface is configured to receive a set of vehicle data, wherein the set of vehicle data comprises embedded image vectors that characterize vehicle data over a short time scale. The processor is configured to determine, using a long time scale model, a long time scale label based at least in part on the embedded image vectors.
Method and system for augmented alerting based on driver's state in hybrid driving
The present teaching relates to method, system, and medium, for generating an augmented alert in a hybrid vehicle. First information indicating an upcoming switch in an operating mode of the vehicle is received, which specifies a set of tasks, arranged in an order, to be completed by a driver in the vehicle to achieve the upcoming switch, and a task duration for each of the set of tasks by which the task is to be completed. A current state of the driver is obtained and used to determine a set of warnings to alert the driver to perform the set of tasks. Each warning corresponds to a task in the set of tasks and is created based on the current state of the driver. A warning schedule is generated based on the set of warnings in the order of the set of tasks and transmitted so that warnings in the warning schedule are delivered to the driver.
Apparatus, system, and method for physiological sensing in vehicles
Methods and apparatus provide physiological movement detection, such as gesture, breathing, cardiac and/or gross motion, such as with sound, radio frequency and/or infrared generation, by electronic devices such as vehicular processing devices. The electronic device in a vehicle may, for example, be any of an audio entertainment system, a vehicle navigation system, and a semi-autonomous or autonomous vehicle operations control system. One or more processors of the device, may detect physiological movement by controlling producing sensing signal(s) in a cabin of a vehicle housing the electronic device. The processor(s) control sensing, with a sensor, reflected signal(s) from the cabin. The processor(s) derive a physiological movement signal with the sensing signal and reflected signal and generate an output based on an evaluation of the derived physiological movement signal. The output may control operations or provide an input to any of the entertainment system, navigation system, and vehicle operations control system.
DRIVE ASSIST DEVICE
In a drive assist system, a map data acquiring section acquires at least one of a driver's operation ability and a load of a vehicle. An adjustment section determines an assist control amount as a control parameter of drive assist for the vehicle so that a degree of the driver's operation is increased according to reduction of the driver's operation ability or increasing of the load of the vehicle. An assist control amount calculation section transmits the assist control amount to a steering motor and a notification section so as to execute the drive assist for the vehicle.
BIOMETRIC PRE-IDENTIFICATION
A station device in a biometric pre-identification system uses identity to perform one or more actions. Identities are determined (such as via a backend) using biometric information. A biometric pre-identification device obtains biometric information and/or a digital representation thereof from a person approaching the station device. The biometric pre-identification device transmits such to the station device, facilitating the station to begin and/or perform various actions. The station device begins or performs the actions using the identity determined based on the biometric information before the person arrives at the station device.
