A vehicle control system includes a plurality of driving assistance devices configured to sequentially send request signals including requests to an actuator in the vehicle and identifiers of the driving assistance devices to an in-vehicle network, a movement manager device configured to acquire the request signals from the in-vehicle network, select one of the identifiers respectively included in the acquired request signals based on a predetermined rule, and sequentially send a control signal including at least the selected identifier to the in-vehicle network, and an actuator control device configured to sequentially acquire the request signal and the control signal from the in-vehicle network, when the control signal is acquired, select a latest request signal including the identifier included in the acquired latest control signal among the acquired request signals, and decide a control value of the actuator based on the request included in the selected request signal.
Braking force control system, device, and method
A vehicular breaking force control system that includes a control device including a processor that acquires a plurality of longitudinal accelerations from a driving assistance system, and calculates a driving/braking request when the vehicle is in a coasting state in which an acceleration operation or a deceleration operation are not performed during running of the vehicle. The processor further acquires a driving force lower limit set for a powertrain actuator having a set gear ratio, and distributes the driving/braking request to at least one of (i) a powertrain system including the powertrain actuator and (ii) a brake system including a brake actuator. The driving/braking request is distributed to the at least one of the powertrain system and the brake system based on the acquired driving force lower limit.
VEHICULAR DRIVING ASSIST SYSTEM USING FORWARD VIEWING CAMERA
A driving assistance system includes a front camera module (FCM). The system, responsive to processing captured image data from the FCM, generates FCM control signals. The system includes a plurality of vehicle sensors capturing sensor data and an advanced driving-assistance system (ADAS) controller. The ADAS controller, responsive to processing the sensor data, generates ADAS control signals. The ADAS controller generates an ADAS status signal indicating a reliability of the generated ADAS control signals. With the ADAS status signal indicating the reliability of the generated ADAS control signals is at or above a threshold ADAS reliability level, the system controls the vehicle using the ADAS control signal and, responsive to determining that the ADAS status signal indicates that the reliability of the generated ADAS control signals is below the threshold, switches from controlling the vehicle based on the ADAS control signals to controlling the vehicle based on the FCM control signals.

The invention relates to a method for operating a self-propelled motor vehicle having a plurality of control units and a plurality of program codes for controlling the function of autonomous driving and possibly other functions of the self-propelled vehicle, wherein a plurality of program codes used for an autonomous driving mode are redundantly applied to at least two different control units. In doing so, the self-propelled motor vehicle is operated in an at least partially autonomous driving mode. In this mode, the functions directly needed to satisfy the passenger's wishes are ascertained and weighted corresponding to their relevance for satisfying the passenger's wishes. In so doing, the functions, or the scope of functions, are released depending on the achievement of a target achievement level.
Method for regulating the movement of a vehicle in an automated driving operation and device for carrying out the method
Vehicle movement in an automatic driving operation is regulated in an automatic driving operation, which is switchable between a regular operating mode and an emergency operating mode when a functional impairment of a main control device is established. In the regular operating mode, the regular desired trajectory, the emergency operation desired trajectory, and the lane course of a driving lane driven along by the vehicle are continuously determined in a coordinate system, fixed to the vehicle, of the main control device. The determined emergency operation desired trajectory and the determined lane course are supplied to the ancillary control device and stored there. In the emergency operating mode, the lane course of the driving lane driven along by the vehicle is determined in a coordinate system, fixed to the vehicle, of the ancillary control device. In the emergency operating mode, based on the lane course stored in the ancillary control device and the lane course stored in the ancillary control device, an angle error between the coordinate systems of the main control device and the ancillary control device is determined and its influence on the regulation carried out by the ancillary control device is compensated for.
