METHOD FOR DEACTIVATION
A method for deactivating an automated driving mode of a vehicle involves automatically terminating the automated driving mode if, due to a manual steering torque acting on the steering wheel of the vehicle, a system steering torque generated by a control system of an assistance system for automated driving mode in terms of amount is exceeded by a predetermined first value if at least one hand of a vehicle user is detected on the steering wheel of the vehicle, is exceeded by a predetermined second value if neither of the vehicle user's hands is detected on the steering wheel, or is exceeded by a predetermined third value if it is determined that the vehicle user is distracted from the driving situation, or if it is determined that there is a lateral collision risk for the vehicle and the manual steering torque of the vehicle user is acting in the direction of the collision risk.
DRIVING CONTROL DEVICE AND HMI CONTROL DEVICE
An HMI control device, which controls an HMI device mounted on a vehicle. The HMI device presents information to a driver of the vehicle in a recognizable manner. The vehicle is capable of automated driving and travels following a preceding vehicle at a speed equal to or lower than a predetermined speed. The HMI control device is configured to: present attention information for calling attention of the driver when a congestion is determined to be cleared; acquire a behavior of the driver; and end a second task presented on the HMI device at an end timing corresponding to the behavior of the driver acquired after presentation of the attention information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING DRUNK DRIVING OF VEHICLE
Disclosed is a system for preventing drunk driving of a vehicle, the system including: an input unit through which a transfer intention to transfer a control privilege of a vehicle from a registered driver to a passenger is input; a sobriety determination unit configured to determine a current driver's inebriation state through a breathalyzer provided in the vehicle when the transfer intention is input through the input unit; a driver verification unit configured to identify personal information of the current driver seated on a driver's seat; and a control unit configured to transfer the control privilege of the vehicle to the passenger when the passenger is measured as being able to drive by the sobriety determination unit and the passenger and the current driver are identified to be the same by the driver verification unit.
Driver Attention And Hand Placement Systems And Methods
Driver attention and hand placement systems and methods are disclosed herein. An example method includes providing warning messages to a driver of a vehicle based on steering wheel input or hand-wheel contact by the driver. The warning messages are provided according to a first scheme when the steering wheel input is above a threshold value and according to a second scheme when the steering wheel input is below a threshold value and images obtained by a camera in the vehicle indicate that at least one hand of the driver is on the steering wheel.
Method and system for controlling an automated driving system of a vehicle
A method for setting a tuning parameter for an Automated Driving System (ADS) of a vehicle is disclosed. A corresponding non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, vehicle control device and a vehicle comprising such a control device are also disclosed. The method comprises receiving environmental data from a perception system of the vehicle, said environmental data comprising a plurality of environmental parameters, determining, by means of a self-learning model, an environmental scenario based on the received environmental data; setting the tuning parameter for the ADS based on the self-learning model and the determined environmental scenario, the tuning parameter defining a dynamic parameter of the ADS, receiving at least one signal representative of a vehicle user feedback on the set tuning parameter, and updating the self-learning model for the set tuning parameter for the identified environmental scenario based on the received vehicle user feedback.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BRAKE SYSTEM BASED ON DRIVER'S FORWARD GAZE
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for controlling a brake system based on a driver's forward gaze.
Vehicle launch from standstill under adaptive cruise conrol
In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, a vehicle is provided that includes a body, a drive system, and a control system for controlling the adaptive cruise control functionality for the vehicle. The drive system is disposed within the body, and has adaptive cruise control functionality. The control system includes: one or more sensors disposed onboard the vehicle and configured to obtain sensor data for monitoring a driver of the vehicle while the vehicle is stopped during adaptive cruise control operation while a target vehicle in front of the vehicle has stopped; and a processor coupled to the one or more sensors and configured to provide instructions for automatically resuming movement of the vehicle, when the target vehicle resumes movement, based on the monitoring of the driver of the vehicle.
Method and system for augmented alerting based on driver's state in hybrid driving
The present teaching relates to method, system, and medium, for generating an augmented alert in a hybrid vehicle. First information indicating an upcoming switch in an operating mode of the vehicle is received, which specifies a set of tasks, arranged in an order, to be completed by a driver in the vehicle to achieve the upcoming switch, and a task duration for each of the set of tasks by which the task is to be completed. A current state of the driver is obtained and used to determine a set of warnings to alert the driver to perform the set of tasks. Each warning corresponds to a task in the set of tasks and is created based on the current state of the driver. A warning schedule is generated based on the set of warnings in the order of the set of tasks and transmitted so that warnings in the warning schedule are delivered to the driver.
Method, device, and system for influencing at least one driver assistance system of a motor vehicle
The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling at least one drive assistance system of a motor vehicle, a device for carrying out the steps of this method and a system including such a device. The disclosure also relates to a motor vehicle including such a device or such a system.
ABNORMAL PHYSICAL CONDITION DETERMINATION SYSTEM, ABNORMAL PHYSICAL CONDITION DETERMINATION METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
An abnormal physical condition determination system includes: an extraction unit that extracts a plurality of feature quantities indicating a condition of a target person from an image of the target person; an accumulation unit that accumulates the plurality of feature quantities as time series data; a calculation unit that calculates a relationship between each feature quantity from the plurality of feature quantities accumulated in the accumulation unit; and a determination unit that determines an abnormal physical condition of the target person on the basis of the relationship. According to such an abnormal physical condition determination system, it is possible to appropriately determine the abnormal physical condition of the target person.
