The vehicle control device executes, as the driving assistance control, abnormality countermeasure control for securing safe traveling of the host vehicle when the driver falls into an abnormal state having a problem in driving the host vehicle, and when the predetermined actuator is operated, and when the abnormality countermeasure control is not being executed, stops the driving assistance control, and when the abnormality countermeasure control is being executed, does not stop the driving assistance control including the abnormality countermeasure control.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM
In a method of controlling an electronic parking brake system to overcome an existing problem occurring in drive away release (DAR) mode, a control unit monitors whether or not a gear change signal is input in a vehicle stopped state, a P position state, or a parking brake applied state. When the gear change signal is input, an accelerator pedal input value of a driver is compared with a predetermined pedal input set value while a gear position of a transmission is maintained in the P position. When the accelerator pedal input value does not exceed the predetermined pedal input set value, a control operation is performed for automatic releasing of a parking brake. When a set time has passed after start of the control operation for the automatic releasing, a control operation of changing the gear position to the D position or the R position is performed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING STEERING ASSISTANCE WHEN PARKING DURING ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE TOWING EVENTS
Systems and methods for coordinating steering controls between towing vehicles and towed vehicles provide more cohesive parking experiences during towing events, including bidirectional charging towing events. The towed vehicle may be controlled to provide assistive parking steering maneuvers to assist the towing vehicle when parking during the towing event. The assistive parking steering maneuver may include maneuvering a drive wheel of the towed vehicle either toward or away from a detected curb or detected traffic, for example.

The disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for vehicle anti-collision control, a computer device, a computer-readable storage medium, and a vehicle, which are applied to the technical field of automobiles. The method includes: receiving information about a rear vehicle status and a relative distance between a vehicle behind and a present vehicle; when the information about the status indicates that there is a vehicle coming from behind and the relative distance between the vehicle behind and the present vehicle is less than a pre-determined distance, calculating an estimated time T for which the present vehicle is to be rear-ended by the vehicle behind; and performing an anti-collision operation for the present vehicle if T<T.sub.threshold, where T.sub.threshold is a pre-determined first anti-collision time threshold.

A parking assistance device includes: a traveling assistance control unit that causes a vehicle to automatically travel to a designated parking area and park the vehicle; a reception unit that receives an operation signal for shifting to a state in which traveling control by the traveling assistance control unit can be executed from an operation unit provided in a vehicle interior of the vehicle; and a braking switching unit that switches a braking device that maintains a stop state of the vehicle to a braking force generating state in a case where the operation signal is received.

An apparatus for preventing rolling of a vehicle operating in an automatic vehicle hold mode includes a reset determination unit configured to determine whether an automatic hold controller controlling an operation of the automatic vehicle hold mode has been reset, a mode determination unit configured to determine whether a mode of the vehicle is the automatic vehicle hold mode when it is determined that the automatic hold controller has been reset, and a vehicle control unit configured to brake the vehicle, based on at least one of a gear position, an opening degree of an accelerator pedal, and whether a brake pedal is operated, when it is determined that the mode of the vehicle is the automatic vehicle hold mode.

An autonomous driving control apparatus for a vehicle includes: a processor that determines whether a current driving condition of the vehicle is a limit situation during an autonomous driving control, performs a demand for control authority transition to a user during the autonomous driving control when the current driving condition is the limit situation, and starts a minimum risk maneuver to transmit a signal for disabling reactivation of the autonomous driving control when control authority is not transferred to the user; and a storage to store a set of instructions and driving condition data to be used by the processor. In particular, the processor demands for engagement of an electronic parking brake device when the vehicle is stopped after the minimum risk maneuver ends.
Electrically actuated mechanical park brake system
A park brake system for adjusting a tension in a brake cable that is coupled to a park brake. The park brake system can include a driver that is communicatively coupled to a microcontroller, and an actuator that is rotatably displaceable by operation of the driver. An equalizer assembly can be linearly displaced along the rotating actuator to adjust a tension in the brake cable. The microcontroller can monitor a current being drawn by the driver as the driver is operated, and generate instructions to cease operation of the driver upon the current reaching a predetermined current threshold that corresponds a maximum force that is to be applied by the park brake. The microcontroller can also, when the park brake is being released from a set position, count pulses outputted by an encoder in connection with determining whether the park brake has reached a running clearance position.
Vehicle engine activation control system
A vehicle engine activation control system includes a starter connected to a battery; an idle stop control unit configured to automatically stop an engine and automatically reactivate the engine by the starter; an input unit configured to generate an operation request in response to input from a driver; an electric parking brake device including an electric motor connected to the battery, wherein the electric motor starts driving in response to the operation request; and a mediating unit configured to prohibit the reactivation of the engine by the idle stop control unit, when the electric motor is in a driving state in response to a predetermined operation request.
