Information processing device, information processing method, and system
An information processing device includes a control unit configured to: acquire information on a destination of a user who uses a resting unit including equipment on which the user is able to sleep, information on an arrival time at the destination, and information on a place in which the user uses the resting unit; transmit a command to a traveling unit configured to be coupled to the resting unit and carry the resting unit such that the traveling unit is coupled to the resting unit and arrives at the destination at the arrival time; and transmit a command to a stimulation device configured to stimulate the user who is using the resting unit such that the stimulation device is activated before the traveling unit is coupled to the resting unit or before the traveling unit departs for the destination after being coupled to the resting unit.
One-pedal control method and system for autonomous vehicle
A one-pedal control method and system for an autonomous vehicle, are capable of accelerating or decelerating a vehicle by use of a foldable brake pedal system when a foldable accelerator pedal system is broken down when a driver manually drives the vehicle or the mode is switched from an autonomous driving mode to a manual driving mode, and capable of implementing a fail-safe function by use of an integrated safety function of software.
OPERATING A VEHICLE
Provided are methods for operating a vehicle, which can include receiving, from one or more of at least one sensor placed within a vehicle or an application on a communication device connected to the vehicle, data indicative of at least one of an action or an appearance of a passenger of the vehicle; determining, based on the at least one of the action or the appearance, that a modification of at least one operational parameter of the vehicle is required; and modifying, in response to the determining, the at least one operational parameter of the vehicle. Systems and computer program products are also provided.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle control device includes a sleep depth estimation unit that estimates a sleep depth of an occupant seated in a seat provided in a vehicle, and a control unit that controls the vehicle such that a magnitude of the external force to be applied to at least one of a plurality of the occupants is equal to or less than a first threshold value when the estimated sleep depth of the occupant is equal to or lower than a predetermined reference depth or when the occupant is awake, and that controls the vehicle such that the magnitude of the external force to be applied to each of all the occupants is equal to or less than a second threshold value larger than the first threshold value when the sleep depth of each of the occupants is greater than the reference depth.
DRIVING CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A driving control system including a sensor unit, a data storage unit and a control unit. The sensor unit is arrangeable in the vehicle and configured to detect at least one driving parameter of the vehicle during travelling. The control unit is configured to generate at least one driving mode based on the at least one driving parameter. The data storage unit is configured to store the at least one driving mode. The control unit is configured to receive an input whether the vehicle continues traveling in a current driving mode or changes to one of the driving modes stored in the data storage unit. The control unit is further configured to simulate the driving mode based on the input, even though the vehicle stops travelling.
Autonomous driving assistance device, autonomous driving assistance system, and autonomous driving assistance method
An autonomous driving assistance device includes: a determination unit for determining whether or not a driver of a vehicle needs a rest on the basis of detection information of a state of the driver; and a control unit for causing an output device of the vehicle to output a pattern that prompts the driver to sleep through at least one of sight, hearing, or touch during a period in which the vehicle has started moving to a parking area and is parked at the parking area in a case where the determination unit has determined that the driver needs a rest.
Method and device for adapting a driving strategy of an at least partially automated transportation vehicle
A method for adapting a driving strategy of a transportation vehicle driving in at least semi-automated state, wherein the adapting takes place based on at least one occupant condition, captured by at least one sensor system, of an occupant, wherein a sleep phase is determined by the at least one sensor system during a sleeping condition of the occupant, wherein the driving strategy is adapted by a control device based on the determined sleep phase. An apparatus for adapting a driving strategy of a transportation vehicle driving in at least semi-automated state having at least one sensor system for capturing an occupant condition of an occupant, and a control device for adapting the driving strategy, wherein the at least one sensor system determines a sleep phase during a sleeping condition of the occupant, and wherein the control device adapts a driving strategy based on the determined sleep phase.
Automated system and method for modeling the behavior of vehicles and other agents
A method and apparatus are provided for determining one or more behavior models used by an autonomous vehicle to predict the behavior of detected objects. The autonomous vehicle may collect and record object behavior using one or more sensors. The autonomous vehicle may then communicate the recorded object behavior to a server operative to determine the behavior models. The server may determine the behavior models according to a given object classification, actions of interest performed by the object, and the object's perceived surroundings.
Passenger support system
A passenger support system includes a speaker, cameras, a vibrator, a seat switch, and a control device. The control device issues destination approach information by the speaker before the vehicle arrives at the destination based on results from comparing the current location information of the vehicle with the destination information of passenger. After issuing the destination approach information, the control device identifies the seat position based on the images captured by the cameras and performs awakening action by the vibrator at the seat corresponding to the specified seat position. The control device stops the awakening action by the vibrator when a stop operation is received from the seat switch.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
An autonomous vehicle configured to facilitate its use and/or enhance what it and/or occupants can do with it, such as, for example, by: autonomously acting based on events within the autonomous vehicle, including by autonomously rerouting itself, altering a cabin of the autonomous vehicle, notifying a third party external to the autonomous vehicle, stopping (e.g., parking) the autonomous vehicle, altering how the autonomous vehicle drives itself, and/or performing other actions based on what and/or how an occupant is doing, an emergency, or another event occurring in the cabin of the autonomous vehicle; autonomously acting based on interactions with (e.g., gestures of) humans (e.g., police officers, school-crossing guards, traffic guards at roadwork or other temporary traffic control sites, drivers of other vehicles, etc.) external to the autonomous vehicle; autonomously acting based on indicators placed at particular locations (e.g., drive-through establishments, potholes, parking spots, etc.); facilitating acts of occupants in the cabin of the autonomous vehicle, such as acts unrelated to and normally not done while driving, including, for example, sleeping, exercising, working, eating, cooking, and/or any other suitable act; and/or automatically personalizing the autonomous vehicle for an occupant (e.g., a configuration of the cabin, a self-driving mode, a destination and/or a route, etc.).
