USER-SCALABLE POWER UNIT INCLUDING REMOVABLE BATTERY PACKS

A riding lawn mower comprising, a pair of rear drive wheels, a pair of front wheels, a deck positioned between the pair of front wheels and the pair of rear drive wheels, a rotatable cutting blade, and multiple battery packs removably coupled to the riding lawn mower and structured to provide power to the riding lawn mower, each battery pack graspable and removable by a user, wherein the multiple battery packs sequentially provide power to the riding lawn mower.

OFF-HIGHWAY RECREATIONAL VEHICLE

An off-highway recreational vehicle includes side-by-side passenger and driver seats held within a chassis. The seats sit low in the chassis and are covered by a roll-over protection system (ROPS), The vehicle is powered by an engine rearward of the seats that utilizes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to provide power to the ground engaging members, wherein the CVT is cooled via air captured by a CVT intake body located adjacent the driver-side seat, between the frame and external panels of the utility vehicle.

Electronic CVT with friction clutch

A continuously variable transmission (“CVT”) is provided for use on a recreational or utility vehicle. The CVT is electronically controlled by a control unit of the vehicle. The CVT includes a primary clutch having a first sheave, a second sheave movable relative to the first sheave, and a friction clutch. An actuator assembly is configured to actuate the primary clutch and cause movement of the second sheave.

ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE

The present disclosure discloses an all-terrain vehicle. The all-terrain vehicle includes: a signal acquirer; an engine; an engine controller; a first differential; a first wheel; a driving motor; a motor controller; a battery power source electrically connected with the driving motor; a second differential in transmission connection with the driving motor; and second wheels in transmission connection with the second differential and are located at both lateral sides of the second differential. Therefore, by connecting and matching the first differential, the engine, the driving motor and the second differential with the corresponding components, the hybrid all-terrain vehicle allows intelligent four-wheel drive, reduces energy consumption, and has a compact and reasonable structure.

CONTROLLABLE DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM AND VEHICLE HAVING THE CONTROLLABLE DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM

A controllable differential system for a vehicle includes a differential that may be disengaged or engaged, and may further be locked when engaged. A differential lock switch has three positions for sending commands to an actuator for disengaging or engaging the differential and for sending commands to a controller for unlocking and locking the differential. The vehicle includes a motor, a transmission continuously connected to a rear drivetrain, and the differential mounted in a front drivetrain. The vehicle may be driven in rear-wheel drive mode when the differential is disengaged or in four-wheel drive mode when the differential is engaged. The vehicle may enforce a vehicle speed limitation or an engine speed limitation when the differential is locked while a manual override control is not activated. The vehicle may implement an anti-lock braking system that may be disabled when the differential is locked.

A two-seater off-road vehicle includes a travel vehicle body that is supported on the ground by a front wheel unit and a rear wheel unit, and a boarding part disposed above a vehicle body frame included in the travel vehicle body. The boarding part includes: a driver seat; a steering operation tool in front of the driver seat; and a passenger seat of a saddle seat type behind the driver seat.

REAR PORTAL GEAR ASSEMBLY FOR TRAILING ARMS
20220371435 · 2022-11-24 ·

An apparatus and methods are provided for a rear portal trailing arm assembly for a vehicle rear suspension. The trailing arm assembly comprises a CV joint hub for coupling with a transaxle and a wheel hub for coupling with a rear wheel. A gear transfer case extends rearward from the CV joint hub to an axle case and functions similarly to a rear trailing arm. Forward mounts facilitate coupling the gear transfer case to the chassis such that the trailing arm assembly pivots vertically with respect to the chassis. A rearward mount facilitates coupling a strut with the gear transfer case to control the vertical motion of the rear wheel. Multiple gear assemblies are meshed within the gear transfer case. An axle is coupled with the meshed gear assemblies and housed within the axle case, such that torque applied to the CV joint hub is communicated to the wheel hub.
