DRIVETRAIN FOR A HYBRID OR ELECTRIC VEHICLE FITTED WITH AN DYNAMIC ABSORBER IN TORSION
A drivetrain for motor vehicle including an electric motor and a reduction mechanism designed to transmit the driving torque to the wheels of the motor vehicle. The electric motor includes a rotor equipped with a rotor shaft, the rotor shaft being rotationally coupled to a primary shaft of the reduction mechanism. The drivetrain further includes a dynamic absorber in torsion, the dynamic absorber in torsion having a support element, an inertial mass which is mounted with the ability to rotate about an axis X with respect to the support element and elastic members which oppose the relative rotation of the inertial mass with respect to the support element about said axis X.
Integrated power source and housing
An axle including a housing having a first cavity and a second cavity formed therein. The first cavity is configured to receive at least a portion of an axle assembly therein, and the second cavity is configured to receive at least a portion of a power source assembly therein.
ASSEMBLY FOR MOUNTING A WHEEL TO A PORTAL GEAR BOX OF AN OFF-ROAD VEHICLE
A vibration-reducing portal box assembly for mounting a wheel of an off-road vehicle includes a housing with a receptacle adapted to receive a stock axle shaft of an off-road vehicle, an output shaft operably connectable to a stock axle received in the housing and effective to rotate upon rotation of said stock axle, and a wheel hub having a central opening adapted to receive said output shaft, and adapted to turn a wheel mounted to said wheel hub upon rotation of said output shaft. The output shaft has a tapered portion connecting its proximal end to its distal end. The wheel hub has a tapered portion adapted to matingly receive the tapered portion of the output shaft. The output shaft may be connected to the stock axle shaft by a geared linking mechanism.
Vehicle noise and vibration interface optimization
A method of optimizing fuel economy and reduced noise and vibration levels in a vehicle includes one or more of the following steps: evaluating an engine speed and a speed of the vehicle, determining if the engine speed and the speed of the vehicle produces a noise level that causes a potential customer complaint, monitoring the noise level in the vehicle, calculating the engine operating condition that causes the noise level, determining if the noise level is above a threshold, adjusting an engine torque or a slip condition of a torque converter for optimal vehicle fuel economy if the noise level is at or below the threshold, and, if the noise level is above the threshold, adjusting the engine torque or the slip condition of the torque converter such that the noise level is at or below the threshold.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A HYBRID-ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A hybrid-electric vehicle includes a power system, a controller, a driver seat, a passenger seat, a back seat, and sensors. The controller is in communication with the sensors and the power system. The seats are coupled, directly or indirectly, to the power system. The sensors are configured to detect occupancy of the driver, passenger, and back seats. The controller is programmed to receive occupancy data from the sensors, determine an occupancy status based on the occupancy data, set an operating parameter for the power system based on the occupancy status, and control the power system in accordance with the parameter.
ANTI-JERK CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ECO-FRIENDLY VEHICLE
An anti jerk control system and method of an eco-friendly vehicle are provided to prevent a driver from sensing a difference in vehicle starting at an initial stage when the vehicle is parked on a downhill road. The anti-jerk control method uses a motor as a driving source and includes calculating an actual speed of the motor, calculating a model speed of the motor, and acquiring a gradient of a road, on which the vehicle is located, using a gradient detector. Additionally, the method includes determining a speed offset value that corresponds to the acquired gradient, compensating the model speed by the speed offset value, and calculating a motor vibration component using a difference between the compensated model speed and the actual speed of the motor. Then, anti-jerk compensation torque is calculated using the calculated motor vibration component.
METHOD OF DECREASING VIBRATION DURING RELEASE OF STOP GEAR OF VEHICLE
A method of decreasing vibration during release of a stop gear of a vehicle can be applied to an eco-friendly vehicle for decreasing vibration generated when a driver releases a P step of a gear lever while torsion occurs in a drive shaft of the vehicle. Reaction force torque of a driving motor is controlled so as to output reaction force that has been generated in a parking sprag by a driving motor when torsion occurs in the drive shaft after entrance of the gear lever into the P step, so as to decrease vibration generated because torsion reaction force of the drive shaft vanishes at the same time.
Hybrid vehicle
When an engine start command is generated to an engine that is in a stopped state, engine start control for cranking the engine and starting fuel combustion after increasing the engine speed is performed. In the engine start control, one of a first start pattern in which an initial combustion speed is higher than a resonance speed of the engine, and a second start pattern in which the initial combustion speed is lower than the resonance speed of the engine is selected according to the speed ratio (gear position) of a transmission. Cranking torque in the second start pattern is lower than the cranking torque in the first start pattern.
Hybrid vehicle
A driving unit and a power-generating unit are separately supported on a sub-frame in such a manner to isolate vibration and are spaced away from each other in a vehicle front-rear direction, to realize good noise/vibration control ability. With respect to an external input acting in the vehicle front-rear direction, a weakened part of a mount bracket extended over the power-generating unit to the driving unit induces and promotes a buckling distortion, to demonstrate good energy absorption ability.
VEHICLE, CONTROLLER FOR VEHICLE, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE
A clutch is controlled to increase torque capacity of the clutch when fluctuations in torsional torque generated in a power transmission route between the clutch and a drive wheel are larger than a specified value during deceleration traveling. Accordingly, engine brake whose magnitude corresponds to an increased amount of the torque capacity of the clutch is actuated. Therefore, the fluctuations in the torsional torque can be suppressed by the engine brake.
