Method of operating a shifting system for a vehicle transmission
A method of operating a shifting system for a vehicle transmission includes engaging a clutch to operatively couple one of first and second gear ratios to an input member, and moving a disconnect from a first disconnect position where a disconnectable component is disengaged from the disconnect, to a second disconnect position where the disconnectable component is engaged with the disconnect to operatively couple the other of the first and second gear ratios to the input member through a shifting assembly. Engaging the clutch and moving the disconnect are performed such that the clutch is operatively coupled to one of the first and second gear ratios at the same time that the shifting assembly is operatively coupled to the other one of the first and second gear ratios, thus preventing torque from being transmitted through either the first and second gear ratios of the vehicle transmission to park the vehicle.
Transmission apparatus of hybrid vehicle
A transmission apparatus of a hybrid vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a planetary gear set including a first rotation element connected to an engine, a second rotation element connected to a first motor/generator, and a third rotation element connected to a second motor/generator. An output gear is connected to any one of the second and third rotation elements and a two-way clutch is mounted at the first rotation element. The clutch limits D stage rotation in a first side direction or limits R stage rotation in a second side direction selectively based on a position of a lever. Accordingly, the clutch performs a failsafe function by preventing a shifting stage from being applied to the R stage when the engine is driven.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Provided is an automatic transmission with which a large impact is hardly applied to the component of the switching mechanism or the switching control circuit when the drive source is re-driven. When a drive source ENG is determined to be in the stopped state, if the position of a slider HC1 does not correspond to the position the control part
ECU instructed before the drive source ENG is determined to be in the stopped state, the control part ECU of the automatic transmission TM transmits a signal for switching a two-way clutch TW to a state corresponding to the state of a slider HC1.
Control apparatus for vehicle drive-force transmitting apparatus
A control apparatus for a vehicle drive-force transmitting apparatus which defines a first drive-force transmitting path provided with a first clutch and a two-way clutch and a second drive-force transmitting path provided with a continuously variable transmission and a second clutch. The control apparatus switches the two-way clutch from its lock mode to its one-way mode, when the second drive-force transmitting path is to be established in place of the first drive-force transmitting path. The drive-force transmitting apparatus includes a hydraulic actuator configured to control switching of the two-way clutch between the lock mode and the one-way mode. When a request for establishing the second drive-force transmitting path in place of the first drive-force transmitting path is made during forward running of the vehicle with the two-way clutch being in the lock mode, the control apparatus executes a dither control for fluctuating a hydraulic pressure applied to the hydraulic actuator.

VEHICLE DRIVE-FORCE TRANSMITTING APPARATUS
A vehicle drive-force transmitting apparatus including: a mode switching clutch; a torque converter; a lock-up clutch included in the torque converter; a switching solenoid valve configured to output a switching pressure for switching an operating mode of the mode switching clutch between a one-way mode and a lock mode; and a lock-up clutch control valve configured to switch an operating state of the lock-up clutch between an engaged state and a released state. The mode switching clutch is to be placed in the lock mode when the switching pressure is supplied from the switching solenoid valve to the mode switching clutch. The lock-up clutch control valve is configured to receive the switching pressure supplied from the switching solenoid valve, and to switch the operating state of the lock-up clutch to the released state when the switching pressure is supplied to the lock-up clutch control valve.
Control system for vehicle
A control system for a vehicle, the control system includes a selectable one-way clutch, a motor, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to (i) execute rotation control to control the motor such that negative differential rotation changes into positive differential rotation when the selectable one-way clutch is switched from a disengaged state to an engaged state while differential rotation of the selectable one-way clutch is negative and (ii) initiate engagement control by a switching mechanism such that a projecting operation of the selectable one-way clutch is completed while the differential rotation is negative.
Control apparatus
A control apparatus of an automatic transmission, which includes a mechanical engaging mechanism functioning as a brake, includes a determination unit determining, when a selected gear is a lowest forward speed gear, and the mechanism is in a second state, whether to switch the mechanism to the first state, and a switching processing unit switching the mechanism to the first state based on a determination result. In the first state, only rotation of a predetermined rotational element provided in planetary gear mechanisms in a first direction is restricted. In the second state, rotation of the predetermined rotational element in both the first and second direction is restricted. The determination unit determines to switch the mechanism to the first state at least on condition that a driving force is larger than a predetermined driving force.
Hybrid vehicle
A hybrid vehicle is provided. In the hybrid vehicle an oil pump can be driven while stopping an engine without a device for interrupting torque transmission between a power split device and the engine. A differential mechanism includes a first rotary element to which torque is delivered from the engine, a second rotary element connected to drive wheels, and a third rotary element to which torque is delivered from the first motor. Torque transmission between the first motor and the third rotary element is interrupted by a clutch. A mechanical oil pump is driven by any one of the first input shaft and the second input shaft that is rotated higher than the other one.
