APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING OVERCHARGE OF BATTERY IN ECO-VEHICLE
An apparatus for preventing overcharge of a battery in an eco-vehicle includes: a detector detecting the overcharge of the battery; and a signal processor controlling a high voltage relay according to an output signal output from the detector to block a charge of the battery.
ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE WITH POWER DISSIPATION FEATURE
An electrified vehicle according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, an energy recovery mechanism, and a controller configured to selectively activate at least a battery cooling mode to dissipate excess power from the energy recovery mechanism.
Selectable four-wheel drive system
A drive system for a vehicle having a rear drive assembly powered by a first power source, a front drive assembly in selective electrical communication with a second power source, a selector switch to selectively permit or prevent electrical communication between the front drive assembly and the second power source, and an output capacity sensor to detect an output of the first power source, where the rear drive assembly drives the vehicle when the selector switch is in a first position and both the rear and front drive assemblies drive the vehicle when the selector switch is in a second position and the output capacity sensor detects that the output of the first power source meets a threshold output.
Battery module with short-circuit unit, and battery pack and vehicle including the same
A battery module, including a cell stack having a first battery cell and a second battery cell; a first bus bar connected to the cell stack and having a first polarity; a second bus bar connected to the cell stack and having a second polarity opposite to the first polarity; a short-circuit unit that moves toward the first bus bar and the second bus bar in response to receiving an expanding force caused by a volume increase of the first battery cell and the second battery cell, so that the first bus bar and the second bus bar are electrically connected to generate a short circuit; and a cartridge that at least partially accommodates each of the first bus bar, the second bus bar and the short-circuit unit.
Vehicle and electric power transmission system
A vehicle includes: a power receiving part; an operating part configured to allow a driver to select a parking lock state or a non-parking lock state; a parking lock device configured to be mechanically switchable between the parking lock state and the non-parking lock state; and a controller configured to control the parking lock device according to an electric signal output from the operating part. While the power receiving part is receiving electric power with the parking lock device being in the parking lock state, the controller: sends a first command that commands stop of power feeding to the power receiving device to the power feeding device when the non-parking lock state is selected; and controls the parking lock device so that the parking lock device is switched from the parking lock state to the non-parking lock state after electric power has decreased to a predetermined value or lower.
Construction Machine
A main controller 28 performs automatic stop control to stop an engine in a case where a preset automatic stop condition is satisfied, and includes a power source control processing section 283 controlling power supplied from a capacitor to an electric or electronic facility 70. The power source control processing section 283 estimates a charge amount by which the capacitor 40 is charged by the alternator 41 while an engine 9 is in operation, estimates an electric discharge amount corresponding to power supplied from the capacitor 40 to the electric or electronic facility 70 while the engine 9 is stopped under the automatic stop control, and stops supply of power from the capacitor 40 to the electric or electronic facility 70 when the electric discharge amount is determined to be larger than the charge amount while the engine 9 is stopped under the automatic stop control. This allows reliable suppression of degradation of the capacitor while the engine is under the automatic stop control.
BATTERY MODULE, AND BATTERY PACK AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME
A battery module, including a cell stack having a first battery cell and a second battery cell; a first bus bar connected to the cell stack and having a first polarity; a second bus bar connected to the cell stack and having a second polarity opposite to the first polarity; a short-circuit unit that moves toward the first bus bar and the second bus bar in response to receiving an expanding force caused by a volume increase of the first battery cell and the second battery cell, so that the first bus bar and the second bus bar are electrically connected to generate a short circuit; and a cartridge that at least partially accommodates each of the first bus bar, the second bus bar and the short-circuit unit.
System for managing the charging of a battery and the regenerative braking of a vehicle at least partially powered by the battery and associated regulation method
An electrical power supply system includes a battery of cells, the battery including an ammeter configured to measure battery current flowing through the battery, and at least one voltage sensor configured to measure voltage at terminals of a cell. An electronic control unit is configured to deliver a maximum permissible electrical power setpoint. The control unit is configured to calculate a maximum permissible electrical power associated with a cell by taking the minimum of at least two values, including a first electrical power and a second electrical power.
Selectable four-wheel drive system
A drive system for a vehicle having a rear drive assembly having a first pair of axles drivingly engaged to a pair of rear wheels, a single front drive assembly in selective electrical communication with a power source and having a second pair of axles drivingly engaged to a pair of front wheels, a selector switch having a first position which prevents electrical communication between the front drive assembly and the power source and a second position which places the front drive assembly in electrical communication with the power source, where the rear drive assembly can power the vehicle when the selector switch is in the first position, and both the rear drive assembly and the front drive assembly can power the vehicle when the selector switch is in the second position.
Hybrid vehicle
The electronic control unit sets a target value of a charging amount of the electrical storage device and increases the charging amount to the target value during traveling on the freeway. The electronic control unit computes a first travel cost being cost per unit travel distance of fuel used when the EV travel is made by using the electric power charged in the electrical storage device at a time when the HV travel is made on the freeway, and the second travel cost being cost per unit travel distance of the electric power used when the EV travel is made by using the electric power charged in the electrical storage device by the charging mechanism at the destination. The electronic control unit sets the target value on the basis of a comparison result between the first travel cost and the second travel cost.
