An integrated mobility system includes at least one road module, at least one railway module adapted to contain a plurality of road modules therein, and a plurality of loading/unloading infrastructures arranged in a plurality of boarding and unboarding stations scattered over a territory to allow operations for boarding/unboarding the road modules from the railway module. The railway module can be a two-story high-speed railway module. The boarding/unboarding stations are equipped with the loading/unloading infrastructures arranged so that the operations for boarding/unboarding the road module with respect to the railway module are always possible regardless of the position occupied by the road module inside the railway module, and regardless of simultaneous boarding and unboarding of other road modules. The road module and the railway module are arranged to be automatically interconnected to each other in the condition in which the road module is received inside the railway module.

A method comprises removing a first deck of a plurality of decks and a second deck of the plurality of decks from an autorack. The method further comprises removing one or more of a plurality of posts of the autorack and coupling a cross-brace assembly to one or more of the plurality of posts, wherein the cross-brace assembly is coupled to the one or more of the plurality of posts at a location above an existing brace bay of the autorack. The method also comprises coupling the second deck of the plurality of decks to the autorack at a location above or below the cross-brace assembly.

A railcar comprises a first end, a second end, and a first longitudinal side and a second longitudinal side disposed between the first end and the second end. The first longitudinal side comprises a center panel and an intermediate panel. The center panel is disposed between a center of the railcar and the intermediate panel. A width of the railcar at the intermediate panel is greater than a width of the railcar at the center panel. An apparatus includes a latch and a travelling nut. The latch couples to a deck of an auto rack car. The latch includes a body coupled to a hinge such that the body may rotate about the hinge from a first position to a second position. The body includes a key. The travelling nut engages a ball screw. The travelling nut includes a slot. The travelling nut rotates with the ball screw when the body is in the first position. The key engages the slot when the body is in the second position. The travelling nut and the latch adjust a height of the deck in the auto rack car when the body is in the second position and when the ball screw is turned.

According to some embodiments, an autorack railcar roof assembly comprises a center roof panel, a first intermediate roof panel adjacent one side of the center roof panel, and a second intermediate roof panel adjacent an opposite of the center roof panel from the first intermediate roof panel. The present disclosure provides an auto-rack bridge plate locking assembly including a support bracket, a support block, a guide tube, a slidable locking pin partially positioned in the guide tube, a handle removably attachable to the locking pin by a removable roll pin, a fixed pivot pin partially positioned in the guide tube, and a spring positioned in the guide tube between the pivot pin and the locking pin. The present disclosure also provides an auto-rack railroad car bridge plate including a plate configured to extend from one auto-rack railroad car to an adjacent auto-rack railroad car, and such locking assembly connected to the plate and configured to pivotally attach the plate to one of the auto-rack rail road cars.

The present invention relates to an apparatus, system, and method of using the same for connecting and spacing grating and the like. Specifically, the present invention relates to connecting and spacing wire gratings, for example wire gratings used as vehicle tire support material or for mounting wheel chocks thereon in the transportation of automobiles. Even more specifically, the present invention may be used to connect a plurality of wire gratings together and to space in a first direction the plurality of gratings apart from each other at multiple selectable distances in one configuration. In a second configuration, the present invention may be used to space in a second direction the plurality of gratings from other objects, such as a wall or guard rail. The second configuration may be used in multiple orientations in order to provide multiple different spacing distances.

Autorack cars are disclosed. In one embodiment, the autorack car includes a car body and a pair of wheeled trucks supporting the car body. The autorack car additionally includes a stationary deck segment fixedly attached to the car body and at least one pivoting deck segment that is adjacent to the stationary deck segment and that is pivotably connected to the stationary deck segment such that the at least one pivoting deck segment is pivotable between a lowered position and a raised position relative to the stationary deck segment. The at least one pivoting deck segment is adapted to support at least one vehicle in the lowered and raised positions. The autorack car further includes at least one pivot assembly for moving the at least one pivoting deck segment between the lowered and raised positions.
