ELECTRIC RAIL VEHICLE
The electric vehicle can include: a payload interface, a payload suspension, a chassis, a set of bumpers, a sensor suite, a controller, a chassis suspension, and an electric powertrain. The electric vehicle 100 can optionally include a payload adapter, a power source, a cooling subsystem, and/or any other suitable components. The electric vehicle functions to structurally support a payload, such as a cargo container (e.g., intermodal container, ISO container, etc.), and/or to facilitate transportation of a payload via railway infrastructure.
Locking bar
A locking bar for a load securing system with lashing points includes at least two telescopic sections which are linearly movable to one another and two end fittings which are arranged at ends of the locking bar which are opposite one another, each for engaging into a lashing point, and a spring element which is arranged in the locking bar, is coupled to the telescopic sections and is designed to force the telescopic sections into an extended position. The locking bar includes a locking unit which is designed to releasably arrest the telescopic sections in the retracted position for the insertion of the locking bar into two lashing points which are opposite one another.
Vehicle wheel chock hanger
Various embodiments provide a vehicle wheel chock hanger for holding different vehicle wheel chocks of different vehicle restraint systems. Various embodiments provide a vehicle wheel chock hanger for vehicle restraint systems for a vehicle such as an auto-rack railroad car that is configured to hold various different chocks that are configured to secure vehicles in that vehicle.
Autorack vehicle wheel chock storage device
A universal storage device for a wheel chock used in an auto carrier railcar comprises a grating coupled to a backplate. The grating has a regularly spaced array of horizontal rods, including an intermediate horizontal rod with a missing segment that creates a gap in the array. The backplate has a plurality of tabs extending transverse to the horizontal rods that are wrapped around one or more horizontal rods to couple the grating to the backplate. The wheel chock has multiple rows of teeth for engaging the grating. When installed on the storage device, a first row of teeth engages a first horizontal rod of the grating and a second row of teeth is positioned in the gap in the array of horizontal rods. The storage device further comprises a locking flange rotatable between a locked and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the locking flange engages an upper surface of the wheel chock to secure the wheel chock to the storage device.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SECURING HEAVY LOADS
The current invention concerns a device for securing a load in a container. In an embodiment of the current invention, such a device comprises a leaf having a front and a rear main surface, and an aperture extending between said main surfaces for receiving a strap, whereby said rear main surface comprises a protrusion. In a further aspect, the invention is directed towards a method for securing a load, which method employs such a device.

RIDGELINE CABLE DRIVE ELECTRIC ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM
A highly efficient, utility scale energy storage system employs large masses transported uphill to store energy and downhill to release energy. An electric powered cable winch or chain drive shuttles the masses between two storage yards of different elevations separated by a steep incline on rail vehicles supported by track and operated by an automated control system.
Auto-rack railroad car vehicle restraint apparatus
A vehicle restraint system for an auto-rack railroad car which includes an active chock and an anchor chock configured to co-act to secure a vehicle in the auto-rack railroad car. In various embodiments, each chock has a chock body including a substantially diamond shaped elongated tube which includes four integrally connected elongated walls. In various embodiments, for each chock, various components of that chock extend substantially along longitudinal axis that lie in the same or substantially the same vertical plane as the apex and trough of the substantially diamond shaped elongated tube of the chock body. The active and anchor chocks: (a) have a lower height than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (b) have a smaller width than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (c) position the strap and the torque tube closer to the tire of the wheel than any known commercially available vehicle restraints; (d) take up a smaller area of each safe zone adjacent to the wheel than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (e) provide a greater strength to size ratio than known commercially available vehicle restraints; and (f) are easy to operate, install, and remove.
LOCKING DEVICE FOR CONTAINERS
A locking device for containers on a vehicle chassis, having a housing, a plug-in pin which is mounted displaceably in the housing and/or a rotary pin which is mounted rotatably in the housing, wherein the plug-in pin and/or the rotary pin can be moved between an open position and a locked position. The invention was based on the problem of providing a locking device for containers which is triggered automatically by way of the loading operation. According to the invention, the problem is solved by the fact that a spring element which interacts with a triggering element acts on the plug-in pin or the rotary pin, wherein the triggering unit has at least one sensing bolt which protrudes out of the housing in the direction of a container fitting in the open position.
Assistance strap for access to cargo container
A device for use with a cargo compartment is provided. The device includes a fitting configured to engage a hole in a logistics track, the fitting comprising a ring that rotatably extends therefrom. An elongate strap is fixed to the ring, wherein the elongate strap extends to a free end portion, the elongate strap extends between a first end portion and a second end portion.
