The security device prevents the opening of the container doors while the containers are in railroad transit. The security device is secured to the railroad well car on either end with a clearance distance between the security device and the shipping container doors to allow for loading and unloading. The security device may be configured to be removable or adaptable for different shipping containers. The security device may be added to existing well cars or incorporated into the design of new well cars.

An apparatus, a vehicle and a method for securing intermodal cargo containers is provided. Couplers include pins and bottom supports to engage apertures and bottom surfaces of corner fittings for intermodal cargo containers. The couplers may also include sidewall supports to engage forward facing side surfaces of the corner fittings. The pins, bottom supports, and sidewall supports hold an intermodal cargo container in place through a relatively large range of acceleration forces without damaging the corner fittings of the intermodal cargo containers. The couplers are selectively movable from a retracted position to an extended position to engage the corner fittings of the intermodal cargo containers.

Container Locking Device and Piggyback Transport Vehicle

The present disclosure provides a container locking device and a piggyback transport vehicle. The container locking device comprises: a support, the support being provided with an accommodating space; a locking structure, a first end of the locking structure being hinged with the support, the locking structure having a locking position extending out of the accommodating space and an avoiding position retracted into the accommodating space; and a support structure, a first end of the support structure being hinged with a second end of the locking structure; wherein in a direction away from the locking structure, the support structure has a retraction position and a support position which cooperates with the support; when the locking structure is located at the locking position, the support structure is located at the support position and the locking structure is caused to stay at the locking position; and when the locking structure is located at the avoiding position, the support structure is located at the retraction position and is retracted into the accommodating space. The container locking device is an inward-overturning type and supports the locking structure by a support structure, and compared with an outer-overturning cantilever structure, the container can be supported and locked more reliably and stably.

The trailer comprises: a structural beam; and at least one container protector installed on the structural beam; wherein the container protector comprises a drive member and a protection member, the drive member being adapted to drive the protection member to rise and lower, and the protection member being capable of providing a limiting function for a container on the trailer when raised. The present disclosure may automatically raise the protection member after installing the container on the trailer so that the protection member locks the container; before the container is to be unloaded, the protection member is automatically retracted to release the limiting function for the container. In this way, it is no longer necessary to specially manually tighten or loosen a shackle of a container, realizing the intelligent control of cargo loading and unloading.

A locking device for containers on a vehicle chassis, having a housing, a plug-in pin which is mounted displaceably in the housing and/or a rotary pin which is mounted rotatably in the housing, wherein the plug-in pin and/or the rotary pin can be moved between an open position and a locked position. The invention was based on the problem of providing a locking device for containers which is triggered automatically by way of the loading operation. According to the invention, the problem is solved by the fact that a spring element which interacts with a triggering element acts on the plug-in pin or the rotary pin, wherein the triggering unit has at least one sensing bolt which protrudes out of the housing in the direction of a container fitting in the open position.

An apparatus for storing or transporting flowable materials or other materials, such as diesel fuel, includes a container and a support. The container is supported by the support. The support sits on or is mounted across an upper part of an open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities (such as coal or iron ore). The apparatus is movable between an expanded configuration in which the container is expandable into a lower part of the open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities, and a collapsed configuration in which the container is collapsible to the support. In use, a railway wagon is filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration. At the port, the coal is emptied from the railway wagon and the container of the apparatus is filled with fuel. The support supports the apparatus on the railway wagon and the container extends into the railway wagon. The fuel may then be transported back to the mine, where the apparatus is removed from the railway wagon and the container decanted. The railway wagon is again filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration and the cycle continues to meet the fuel requirements of the relevant mine.
