Railcar truck roller bearing adapter-pad systems
A railcar truck and adapter pad system for placement between a roller bearing and side frame pedestal roof of a three-piece railcar truck. Many different features of the pad and/or the adapter-pad interface are configured to improve stiffness characteristics to satisfy both curving and high speed performance of the railcar truck.

Railcar bogie
A railcar bogie includes: a bogie frame including a cross beam supporting a carbody of a railcar; a pair of axles respectively arranged at both sides of the cross beam in a car longitudinal direction and extending in a car width direction; bearings provided at both car width direction sides of each of the axles and rotatably supporting the axles; axle boxes respectively accommodating the bearings; and coupling devices coupling the axle boxes and the bogie frame to one another, each of the coupling devices including a first member projecting from the axle box to the bogie frame, a second member projecting from the bogie frame to the first member, and a coupling portion coupling the first member and the second member to each other, and the second member being formed separately from the bogie frame and positioned by contacting the bogie frame.

Chassis Frame With Drive Unit
A chassis frame for a rail vehicle which includes at least one drive unit fastened to the chassis frame via at least one elongated fastener, wherein the at least one fastener is arranged transversely with respect to the direction of travel and protrudes into the chassis frame or is guided through brackets which are fixedly connected to the chassis frame and protrudes into a space above or below the chassis frame in order to reduce the weight for the bearing of the drive unit and to facilitate mounting of the drive unit.

RAILWAY TRUCK WITH RELEASABLE BEARING ADAPTER
An adapter assembly of a vehicle includes a bearing adapter configured to physically contact a bearing on an axle of the vehicle, and an adapter pad nested within an opening of a side frame of the vehicle and secured to at least one thrust lug of the side frame. The adapter pad includes a base section and legs depending from the base section. The legs are compressed between the at least one thrust lug of the side frame and shoulders of the bearing adapter to exert frictional forces on the shoulders of the bearing adapter. A combination of the frictional forces exerted by the adapter pad on the bearing adapter is less than a weight of the bearing adapter, such that as the side frame rises away from the bearing during movement of the vehicle, the adapter pad rises relative to the bearing adapter.
