ELECTRIC RAIL VEHICLE
The electric vehicle can include: a payload interface, a payload suspension, a chassis, a set of bumpers, a sensor suite, a controller, a chassis suspension, and an electric powertrain. The electric vehicle 100 can optionally include a payload adapter, a power source, a cooling subsystem, and/or any other suitable components. The electric vehicle functions to structurally support a payload, such as a cargo container (e.g., intermodal container, ISO container, etc.), and/or to facilitate transportation of a payload via railway infrastructure.
Hydromechanical wheelset control system for a rail vehicle
A hydromechanical wheelset control system for a rail vehicle that comprises a leading wheelset and a trailing wheelset that is arranged behind the leading wheelset in the direction of locomotion, with the trailing wheelset having the property of adopting a favorable position in an arc of an undercarriage frame interacting with it and of a rail pair. The wheelset control system is characterized in that a wheelset control is provided that is connected to the leading wheelset control system and to the trailing wheelset control system and that is adapted to hydraulically deflect the leading wheelset in dependence on a deflection of the trailing wheelset, preferably by the same amount as the trailing wheelset, but in the opposite direction.
Underslung steering arm assembly
A car truck including a first side frame, a second side frame, and an underslung steering assembly connected to the first side frame and the second side frame, configured to reduce, inhibit, minimize, and/or prevent truck hunting and warping.

Running gear with a steering actuator, associated rail vehicle and control method
A running gear for a rail vehicle includes first and second independent wheel assemblies on opposite sides of a longitudinal vertical median plane of the running gear, each having an independent wheel and a bearing assembly for guiding the wheel about a revolution axis fixed relative to the bearing assembly. In a reference position of the running gear, the revolution axes of the first and second wheel assemblies are coaxial and perpendicular to the longitudinal vertical median plane. The running gear further includes one or more steering actuators for moving the bearing assembly of at least one of the two wheel assemblies away from the reference position in a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal vertical median plane, a wheel flange contact detection unit for detecting a contact between a flange of the wheel with a rail, and a controller for controlling the one or more steering actuators.
Chassis for rail vehicles
A chassis for rail vehicles includes at least one first wheel and one second wheel, at least one first wheel bearing having a first wheel bearing housing and a second wheel bearing having a second wheel bearing housing, at least one first primary spring and one second primary spring, at least one primary spring-loaded support structure and at least one active wheel positioning device, which has an actuator unit, where a first bearing and a second bearing are provided between the at least one wheel positioning device and the at least one support structure, and a guide is provided between the at least one wheel positioning device and the first wheel bearing housing, and where the unsuspended mass of the chassis is reduced by the suspension of the wheel positioning device on the primary spring-loaded support structure in order to create advantageous design conditions.
Wheel assembly for a vehicle guided on a railway track
The invention concerns a vehicle guided on a railway track comprising a chassis and at least one wheel assembly interconnected to the chassis and a method for steering said vehicle. The wheel assembly comprises a cross-member having a first end to which a first hub is interconnected by a first steering joint and a second end to which a second hub is interconnected by a second steering joint. A first wheel is attached to the first hub rotatable around a first rotation axis and a second wheel is attached to the second hub rotatable around a second rotation axis. A first sensor determines the lateral position of the first sensor with respect to the rail. The first sensor is attached to the first hub and is, with respect to a direction of travel arranged in front of the supporting area of the first wheel in a horizontal direction spaced a distance A1 apart. The first sensor is interconnected to an actuator by a control unit which calculates a steering angle for the at least one interconnected wheel depending on the determined position of the first sensor.
Guide device for guide rail-type vehicle, and guide rail-type vehicle
Provided is a guide device for a guide rail-type vehicle which travels while being guided along a travel track. The guide device is provided with: guide wheels which include main guide wheels and branched guide wheels, the main and branched guide wheels being in contact with and roll on guide rails arranged on both sides of the travel track; steering arms which steer the vehicle; and elastic support members which each includes one end affixed to each of the steering arms and which each includes the other end including guide wheels rotatably supported thereon, the elastic support members absorbing an impact load by deflecting about the one end thereof.
