Method and controller for determining the relationship between a track-circuit transmitted current signal and a railway vehicle location on a railway track

Disclosed is a method for determining the relationship between a track-circuit current signal and a railway vehicle location, including: sending, by a track circuit, current signal across a railway track block; measuring the current signal for different railway vehicles running successively on the railway track block; aligning the measured current signals and calculating a reference curve as the average value of all the aligned curves by using a Dynamic Time Warping algorithm, this reference curve representing the relationship between the track-circuit current signal and the railway vehicle location on the railway track block.

MAINTENANCE APPARATUS, MAINTENANCE SYSTEM, AND MAINTENANCE METHOD

A maintenance apparatus (10) transmits a pulse signal from a predetermined observation point (P) of rails (R), observes an observation signal that appears at the observation point (P) after transmission of the pulse signal, compares an observation history of the observation signals and the observation signal received this time, and detects occurrence of abnormality in any one of the rails (R) and at least one electric apparatus (20) connected to the rails (R).

Test Shunt Clamp Device

The present invention relates to a test shunt clamp device for testing railroad tracks by creating either a hard-wired effect or an impedance. The device has at least two clamps that can be attached to a rail track of a railroad track. Once attached, a toggle switch can be placed in the “HW” or “0.06” position such that the switchable choice between hard-wire and a resistor (that the first and second wires are connected to) delivers a hard-wired effect or a 0.06 ohm impedance to each rail track via a first pointed member of the first clamp attached to the first wire and a second pointed member of the second clamp attached to the second wire.

A system for determining alignment of a signal includes a light assembly comprising a light source operated by an electronic circuit, a first position sensor configured to measure a geographical direction of the light assembly, a second position sensor configured to measure a tilt angle of the light assembly, and a light communication device configured to receive measurements of the first position sensor and the second position sensor, and wherein the light communication device is configured to evaluate the measurements and determine alignment of the light assembly based on predefined tolerance thresholds for the geographical direction and tilt angle.

MOUNT FOR SIMULATED RAIL TRACK LOAD INDUCTOR

A simulated track inductor mount including a base configured to be fixed against a supporting surface and an inductor hub attached to and extending from the base. The inductor hub includes one or more surfaces defining a margin and being configured to engage with an inner surface of the simulated track inductor, and the one or more surfaces are fixed to a camming tab configured to flex to removably seat the simulated track inductor on the inductor hub.

RAILWAY SHUNT ENCLOSURE

A railway termination shunt enclosure including one or more receptacles, each of the one or more receptacles being configured to receive a termination shunt. The enclosure also includes at least one mounting surface and a connector assembly rotatably attaching the one or more receptacles to one or more of the at least one mounting surface.

COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR DETERMINING RAILWAY VEHICLE MOVEMENT PROFILE TYPE OF A RAILWAY VEHICLE MOVEMENT PROFILE AND CONTROLLER OF A TRACK CIRCUIT SYSTEM

A computer implemented method is for determining railway vehicle movement profile type of a railway vehicle movement profile. The railway vehicle movement profile includes a sequence of measured transmitted currents of a transceiver of a track circuit with respect to the time. The method includes obtaining a railway vehicle movement profile, normalizing the railway vehicle movement profile, extracting one or more features from the normalized railway vehicle movement profile, determining the distance of the extracted features with respect to each centroid of a railway vehicle movement profile type determined in a classification process, and assigning the railway vehicle movement profile to the railway vehicle movement profile type with the closest centroid

Single rail shunt cable assembly

A single rail shunt cable assembly is configured to repair a damaged railroad rail segment. The single rail shunt cable assembly has a shunt cable with a first shunt cable end and a second shunt cable end. A first cable clip is joined to the first shunt cable end. A second cable clip is joined to the first shunt cable end. An ohm meter is joined to the shunt cable proximate the first cable clip. The ohm meter that shows a circuit connection between the first clamp and the second clamp when the first clamp and the second clamp are attached to the damaged railroad rail segment.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SHORT VEHICLE DETECTION
20230092642 · 2023-03-23 ·

A system and a method automatically detect whether a vehicle entering a track section of a railway network is shorter than a predefined length. The method includes detecting at a time T0 an entry of the vehicle on a first track subsection. From the time T0, the occupancy states of at least a first subsection and a third subsection are determined in dependence on the time. The occupancy state is either “occupied” or “free”. The occupancy states for at least first and third subsections is reported to an evaluation unit at least until the occupancy state of the first subsection is “free”. The reported occupancy states determined for the at least first and third subsections are processed by the evaluation unit, and from a temporal evolution of the occupancy states of the first and third subsections, it is determined whether the entering vehicle is shorter than the predefined length.

Method, vehicle device and controller for operating a track-bound traffic system

A method operates a track-bound traffic system which in a particularly efficient manner and at the same time with a comparably low degree of complexity allows the position of at least one vehicle end of a track-bound vehicle to be ascertained. For this purpose, the method is carried out such that a track-side device transmits first information which directly or indirectly characterizes the location of the track-side device and second information which directly or indirectly characterizes the travel direction of a track-bound vehicle. The first and second information is received by the track-bound vehicle at the location of the track-side device; and a position of at least one vehicle end of the track-bound vehicle is ascertained by the track-bound vehicle on the basis of the received first and second information.
