Systems and methods for tracking an accessory by a wheelchair and coupling the wheelchair to the accessory
Embodiments herein are directed to a wheelchair system that includes a wheelchair. The wheelchair includes a coupling mechanism, a processing device, and a non-transitory, processor-readable storage medium in communication with the processing device. The non-transitory, processor-readable storage medium includes one or more programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processing device to determine the location of an accessory, position the wheelchair with respect to the accessory, and couple the wheelchair to the accessory via the coupling mechanism. The positioning of the wheelchair is independent from a user physically controlling the positioning of the wheelchair with respect to the accessory.
Carriage safety apparatus
Various of the disclosed embodiments concern a safety apparatus that is positioned adjacent to and attached to a carriage device, thereby substantially improving the safety of individuals seated in the carriage device. The safety apparatus can include a structural frame, one or more front contacts, one or more rear contacts, a support bar, one or more handles, and at least one connector. The at least one connector allows the safety apparatus to be detachably connected or fixedly attached to the carriage device. The safety apparatus may also be adjustable or collapsible, which permits its footprint to be reduced when not in use. In some embodiments, the safety apparatus includes a support bar and/or basket that allows a user to hang or place items, such as a purse or diaper bag, without causing the safety apparatus or the carriage device to become unbalanced.
VEHICLE COMBINATION
A vehicle combination which includes a perambulator and a trailer connected thereto, the trailer having a platform and casters which support the platform on the ground. The vehicle combination has two retaining devices for connection to a children's bicycle. The first retaining device is located on the trailer and is provided in order to fix a wheel of the children's bicycle. The second retaining device is located on the perambulator and is provided in order to fix the region of the children's bicycle which is located near the handle region of the perambulator if the children's bicycle is pivoted upwards about the axis of the wheel fixed on the retaining device on the trailer.
Connector for releasably coupling two wheeled-carts
A connector for releasably attaching two wheeled-carts, wherein one can be a stroller and the other can be a wheelchair. The connector comprises an elongated body that forms an arm that is configured to be foldable, detachable or combination of both foldable and detachable, a first clamp connected to one end of the arm via a joint member, a locking arrangement for enabling to lock the arm in an unfolded position, and a second clamp connected to the other end of the arm.
Electric stroller
The electric stroller comprises a frame, a child seat, an operator seat, a plurality of wheels, a port motor, a starboard motor, a control circuit, and a battery. The electric stroller may be a self-propelled conveyance. The child seat may be supported by the frame and may be adapted to transport a child. The operator seat may be coupled to the frame behind the child seat and may be adapted to transport an operator. A port driven wheel may be propelled by the port motor and a starboard driven wheel may be propelled by the starboard motor with the speed and direction of the port motor and the starboard motor controlled independently.
Stroller apparatus incorporating apparatus for steering by pulling in a leading or abreast position
A stroller apparatus incorporating a steering apparatus for steering through pulling in an abreast or leading position. The steering apparatus includes a telescopic bar to selectively adjust the length as the steering apparatus extends forward from the pushing bar. The connection of the steering apparatus is integrated with the pushing bar, and may be pivotable so as to increasing the steering and navigating of the stroller apparatus by pulling from either side or the front thereof.
Apparatus for setting a push-from-behind transportation device by pulling in a leading or abreast position
A steering apparatus for adapting a push-from-behind transportation device having a push bar for steering through pulling in an abreast or leading position. The steering apparatus includes a telescopic bar to selectively adjust the length as the steering apparatus extends forward from the pushing bar. The connection of the steering apparatus to the pushing bar may be integrated thereto, facilitated by a removable load bearing device as well as pivotal connection so as to increasing the steering and navigating of the push-from-behind transportation device by pulling from either side or the front thereof.
