WHEELS ASSEMBLY
A wheels assembly, including at least a first subsidiary wheels assembly, each including a) a first profile, for carrying a board, and b) a first cart being tiltably slidable along the first profile, and including wheels, and a second subsidiary wheels assembly including a) a second profile, for carrying the board, b) a second cart being tiltably slidable in relation to the second profile, and including wheels, and c) a user-adjustable bolt, for adjusting the tilted sliding of second cart in relation to the second profile, for adjusting a vertical distance therebetween, where the second profile of the second subsidiary wheels assembly is fixed to the second profile of one of the at least first subsidiary wheels assembly.
Method and apparatus for gantry system mobility
An assembly includes an attachment arm having an axle extending from a first end of the attachment arm. The attachment arm of the detachable wheel assembly further includes a securing portion forming a second end of the attachment arm, the securing portion of the attachment arm including a pin positioned to extend above a first frame member of a gantry truss and to secure the first frame member between the pin and a portion of the attachment arm. The attachment arm also includes a frame support corresponding to a second frame member of the gantry truss such that the frame support supports the second frame member when the assembly is secured to the gantry truss, and the assembly includes a wheel rotatably attached to the axle of the attachment arm.
Braking and steering control apparatus for securing and moving an object on a surface
A braking and steering control apparatus to help a user stop, secure and move an object across a surface. The apparatus is particularly useful for securing and moving objects that are moveably supported on the surface by a wheel assembly, such as a caster, carriage and wheel float. The apparatus attaches to or is integral with a wheel assembly, an object or an item associated with the object. The apparatus has a wheeled action arm assembly, a reaction arm and a plurality of levers, links and pedals that are pivotally connected to the action arm assembly and reaction arm that allow the user to select whether the apparatus will allow safe, easy movement of an object or whether the object will be safely and effectively secured on a surface. The user selects the braking or steering operation and operates the controls using one of his or her feet.
Self-aligned tilt and yaw system for wind turbine blade rotating device
A wind turbine blade apparatus comprising a root device including: a base having an upper surface with a radius of curvature and configured to receive a root portion of a blade, with housings disposed on lateral sides of the base. The housings including a groove configured to receive a bearing and a shaft extending at least partially through the base and housing. A tip device is also provided which includes a base, a rotatable support frame having: a first support configured to receive a pressure side of a wind turbine blade, a second support configured to receive a suction side of a wind turbine blade, and an opening, the opening configured to receive a portion of a wind turbine blade.
WHEEL KIT FOR MOVABLE STRUCTURE
A wheel kit for moving a structure on a surface. The wheel kit includes first wheel mounting brackets with first wheel assemblies and a second bracket wheel mounting bracket with a second wheel assembly. The first wheel assemblies are movable between first wheel assemblies first positions, in which first wheels engage the surface and raise the structure away from the surface, and first wheel assemblies second positions, in which the first wheels allow the structure to rest on the surface. The second wheel assembly is movable between a second wheel assembly first position, in which a second wheel engages the surface and raises the structure away from the surface, and a second wheel assembly second position, in which the second wheel allows the structure to rest on the surface. The second wheel assembly rotates about the second wheel mounting bracket to allow the second wheel to steer the structure.
Swing Caster Dolly
A wheel dolly is disclosed that includes a first and a second swing caster assembly. Each swing caster assembly includes a stationary frame supporting a swing axle and a lift bar channel, a swing frame constructed to rotate about the swing axle, thus defining a swing plane, and a swivel caster connected to the swing frame. A lift bar with a first longitudinal member extending orthogonally away from a second longitudinal member is connected to both swing caster assemblies through the lift bar channel. The swing plane of the first swing caster assembly is orthogonal to the swing plane of the second swing caster assembly, when the assemblies are mounted to the lift arm.
Scissor lift system and plug-in mobility mechanism for wind turbine blade rotating device
A wind turbine blade handling apparatus for rotating and lifting a blade. The apparatus includes a root device having a root support member with a concave upper surface and rollers having a longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the blade and configured to rotate the blade; a base, and a scissor-lift mechanism with intersecting struts which converts from a lowered position wherein the struts are disposed in a generally coplanar configuration, to an elevated position wherein the struts are disposed in an angled configuration.
Bundle-drop roller
Embodiments are directed to improving transportation of tubular structures. A roller may have a housing having a vertical axis and one or more upper flanges. The one or more upper flanges may have an upper surface that is transverse and non-perpendicular to the vertical axis of the housing. Optionally, the upper surface may be curved. The roller may have one or more wheels that are rotatably coupled to the housing and that extend downward from the housing.
Powered hand truck and dolly system for ISO containers
The powered hand truck and dolly system for ISO (International Organization for Standardization) containers is a system for moving ISO containers. The system includes at least one dolly and a powered hand truck. The hand truck includes two booms that are vertical for storage and rotate into a horizontal position for engaging the container. The ends of the booms have shafts with cams for engaging standard twist lock connector receptacles on one end of the container. Each dolly also has a shaft with a cam for engaging a standard twist lock connector receptacle on the other end of the container. The dollies include bars that are vertical for storage and rotate into a horizontal position for connecting the dollies to one another such that their shafts are appropriately positioned to align with their associated connector.
Individual emergency brake system for wind turbine blade rotating device
A wind turbine blade rotating and braking apparatus comprising: a root device including: a root support member having an upper surface with a radius of curvature and configured to receive a portion (e.g. root) of a wind turbine blade, rollers having a longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the blade and configured to rotate the blade; braking mount on the sides of the root support member; and a braking mechanism (e.g. strap or band) fixedly attached to the first mount, releasably attached to the second mount and extending above the blade to apply a braking force to the blade. Once applied, the braking force can be maintained by a locking pin.
