The service cart may comprise a detachable handle operable to selectively disengage a number of brakes on the cart. The service cart may comprise a tow hitch suitable for detachably coupling an external tow device.
Service Cart for Electric Vehicle Battery With Configurable Supports
A service cart and associated apparatus that is suitable for servicing electric vehicles and vehicle batteries. The service cart may comprise a frame having a number of members that may be arranged in a compact configuration. The service cart may comprise a number of support pads that may be adjustably arranged with respect to the frame. The support pads may comprise an overload protection mechanism having a break pin. The service cart may comprise a detachable handle operable to selectively disengage a number of brakes on the cart. The service cart may comprise a tow hitch suitable for detachably coupling an external tow device.
BRAKING APPARATUS FOR HAND TRUCKS
A braking apparatus for a hand truck that keeps the hand truck stable while lifting or dropping a load from the hand truck. The braking apparatus includes a lever and clamps for pivotally mounting the lever to an axle of the hand truck, and a recoiling mechanism that allows the lever to switch between a deployed position and a non-interfering position. The operator can press the lever against the floor to prevent the rolling of the hand truck while loading.
Stroller accessory and double stroller assembly
A stroller accessory connects to a stroller to form a double stroller together and is unusable to transport a child when the accessory is disconnected from the stroller. It includes a frame, a connection mechanism reversibly connecting the accessory to the stroller while defining a tilting axis around which the front part of the accessory frame and the rear of the stroller frame tilt freely relative to one another, two pivoting wheels on a rear part of the frame, a pushing member on the frame rear, a control mechanism controlling a rolling blocking of the double stroller, on the frame front that cooperates mechanically with a rolling blocking system, in the stroller, controlling the blocking system, and an actuating member, on the frame rear to be activated by a user standing behind the double stroller, and which is coupled to the control mechanism so as to actuate the latter.
CASTER WHEEL BRAKE SYSTEM
A caster wheel brake system for carts and other wheeled articles is operable to secure caster wheels against rolling rotation along their horizontal rotation axes. The system includes a pivotable parking brake lever, an actuator arm, and a torque shaft extending between the brake lever and actuator arm. The brake lever includes a distal end portion for selectively engaging a caster wheel, a proximal end portion opposite the distal end portion, and a pivot coupling, the latter being pivotably secured to the cart or wheeled article. An actuator arm extends outwardly from a distal end portion of the torque shaft, with the actuator arm slidably engaging the proximal end portion of the brake lever. The torque shaft and the actuator arm are rotatable together to urge the brake lever toward the braking or non-braking position
BRAKE OPERATING ARRANGEMENT
A brake operating arrangement (18) comprises a cam member (22) operable on a brake mechanism (36) for braking a wheel (34). The brake mechanism (36) is movable between a braking condition and a non-braking condition. The cam member (22) is rotatable to move the brake mechanism (36) to the braking condition. The brake operating arrangement (18) further includes a drive member (44) movable in drive and return directions; and a ratchet mechanism (46) to rotate the cam member (22) when the drive member (44) is moved in the drive direction. The ratchet mechanism (46) is connected to the drive member (44) and the cam member (22).
Tilt Brake Mechanism For Hand Truck
A braking mechanism for a hand truck or dolly that, when installed on the hand truck, slows the movement of the hand truck when the hand truck is tilted rearwardly. The more the hand truck is tilted rearwardly, the greater the braking force applied by the braking mechanism against the wheels.
Rollator having auto brake system
A rollator having an auto brake system made of a rigid frame assembly, a pair of forward facing swivel wheels, a pair of rearward facing non-swivel wheels, a pair of support handles, a pair of momentary electrical switches, a seat member, a back-rest member and a pair of electro-mechanical brake assemblies. The electro-mechanical brake assemblies are mounted on the frame assembly just above each rearward facing non-swivel wheel. The momentary electrical switches are mounted on the support handles. The brake assembly is actively engaged when the momentary electrical switches are not pressed and unengaged when the momentary electrical switches are pressed by the user. A preferred embodiment includes a pair of LED lights mounted on the front end of each the support handle, the LED lights being aimable by the user.
