VEHICLE FRONT PORTION STRUCTURE

A vehicle front portion structure includes: a battery that is disposed under a floor of a vehicle and between a left and right pair of frame portions, the left and right pair of frame portions configuring a skeleton of the vehicle and being disposed with a space therebetween in a vehicle width direction; a power control unit that is provided at a front portion of the vehicle and closer to a vehicle front side than the battery, and that is configured to control power to a motor; a support member that is provided at the front portion of the vehicle and that is configured to support the power control unit; and a cable that extends in a vehicle front-rear direction, through a space at an inner side, in the vehicle width direction, of the support member, and that connects the battery with the power control unit.

OUTRIGGER HAVING INCREASED STIFFNESS

An outrigger coupled to a cab frame. The outrigger including a base wall, a first side wall, an opposite second side wall, a reinforcement flange, and a reinforcement bracket. The first side wall and the opposite second side wall extend from the base wall. Each of the first side wall and the second side wall include an interior edge, an opposite exterior edge, and an inner surface. The reinforcement flange extends along the exterior edge of the first side wall, the second edge, and the exterior edge of the second side wall. The reinforcement bracket is coupled to the interior edge of the first side wall and the interior edge of the second side wall.

Crossmember and manufacturing method for crossmember

A crossmember and a manufacturing method for a crossmember is disclosed. The crossmember is made of a metal sheet having a given sectional shape, configures a part of a vehicle body frame, extends along a vehicle width direction, and has an engine mount attaching portion provided in a part of an upper plate portion. The crossmember has an upper crossmember that is made of a single metal sheet extending along the vehicle width direction, the upper crossmember having a larger thickness in a region including the engine mount attaching portion of the upper plate portion and a surrounding area of the engine mount attaching portion compared to a thickness of a remaining region.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SCALABLE VEHICLE PLATFORMS

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for scalable vehicle platforms. An example vehicle chassis disclosed herein includes a right front chassis portion including a first longitudinal member, and a first crossmember attachment locator disposed on the first longitudinal member. The example vehicle chassis includes a left front chassis portion including a second longitudinal member and a second crossmember attachment locator disposed on the second longitudinal member, wherein the vehicle chassis has a first width when a first crossmember is coupled to the first and second crossmember attachment locators and wherein the vehicle chassis has a second width greater than the first width when a second crossmember is coupled to the first and second crossmember attachment locators, the second crossmember longer than the first crossmember.

MULTI-PURPOSE VEHICLE CHASSIS
