FRONT VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE

An impact absorbing member is provided below a fascia upper member (upper-face forming member) which forms an upper face of a front end portion of a vehicle. The impact absorbing member comprises a front side part which includes a front wall portion, a top wall portion, and a rear wall portion so as to have a U-shaped cross section opening downward and a flat-plate shaped rear side part which extends rearward from a lower end of the rear wall portion. A rear end portion of the rear side part is held at a radiator shroud as a vehicle-body-side member, and the rear side part is configured to slant obliquely forward and downward.

Radiator support structure

A radiator support structure includes: a first attachment member that is fixed to a vehicle body, and that supports a radiator body; and a second attachment member that (i) is separate from and unattached to the first attachment member, (ii) is attached to a front side member of the vehicle body through a shock absorbing member that is fixed to a vehicle front-rear direction front end of the front side member, and (iii) supports the radiator body. At least one of the first attachment member and the second attachment member is configured to detach from the radiator body when a collision force in the vehicle front-rear direction is applied to the second attachment member.

Collapsible radiator support brackets for pedestrian safety

A mounting assembly for an automotive radiator, a vehicle including such a mounting and a method of mitigating an impact between a vehicle and a pedestrian. The assembly includes a radiator support and one or more brackets. Each bracket is made up of a first end portion that is secured to the radiator support and a second end portion extending forward of the radiator support such that it can be attached to a load-bearing structure within a vehicle. The brackets each include at least one enhanced collapsible zone in order to promote energy absorption relative to energy transmission in situations where a vehicle experiences a front-end impact with a pedestrian or other object. In this way, the added energy absorption by the brackets reduces the amount of impact energy being transmitted to more rigid vehicular structures such as the radiator and its support; this increase in impact energy absorption in turn results in less energy being delivered to the pedestrian.

Vehicle

A vehicle may include: a body; a suspension member mounted at a front lower portion of the body, the suspension member comprising a front crossmember extending in a width direction of the vehicle; a first bracket projecting from the front crossmember toward a front portion of the vehicle, the first bracket comprising a first hole; a radiator comprising a first positioning member at a lower portion of the radiator, the first positioning member corresponding to the first hole and penetrating the first hole; and a second bracket secured to a lower surface of the first bracket, the second bracket comprising a second hole with which the first positioning member is engaged. A diameter of the first hole may be greater than a diameter of the first positioning member, and A secured position of the second bracket in a horizontal direction relative to the first bracket may be adjustable.

A work vehicle of the invention includes: a pair of right and left front wheels disposed in a front part of the vehicle body; a pair of right and left rear wheels disposed in a rear part of the vehicle body; a side wall disposed at an outer end part of one side in a right-left direction of the vehicle body; and a radiator disposed between the front wheels and the rear wheels in a side view and on an inner side relative to the side wall in a plane view, wherein the radiator is disposed with an air-suction surface thereof facing toward the side wall to form an air-suction opening in a bottom part of a space between the air-suction surface and an inner surface of the side wall, and wherein a dust-proof body protruding downward to a lower level than a level of a lower end of the vehicle body is disposed on at least one of: a front side of the air-suction opening and a rear side of the front wheels; and a rear side of the air-suction opening and a front side of the rear wheels.

SERIES OF MOUNTING SUPPORTS AND MOUNTING SUPPORT FOR FASTENING RADIATOR MODULES, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOUNTING SUPPORTS
20170282704 · 2017-10-05 · ·

A series of mounting supports, a mounting support for fastening radiator modules and a method for producing mounting supports, in particular for motor vehicles for fastening radiator modules by which the variability of a mounting support with respect to the arrangement of radiator modules can be increased. A series of mounting supports for fastening radiator modules in the front-end structure of motor vehicles relates to mounting supports having a frame which comprises an upper transversal support, two lateral vertical supports and a lower transversal support. At least an upper bearing area and at least a lower bearing area for mounting a radiator module are formed on the frame. Adapter elements for connecting between the mounting support and a radiator module are arranged on the mounting support in the upper bearing area and/or in the lower bearing area, which allow the variable fastening of radiator modules in different relative positions.
