Compact power steering system
A compact power steering system is suitable for small vehicles. A torque sensor on a steering shaft detects operator intention to turn. In response, a motor provides torque to assistance in rotating the steering shaft. A strain wave gear set multiplies the motor torque. A coupler having a torsional isolator links the gearbox output to the steering shaft.
Electric powered gear assembly for steering system
An electric powered recirculating ball assembly includes a shaft having a plurality of sector teeth extending therefrom. The assembly also includes an eccentric sleeve defining a bore containing a portion of the shaft, the eccentric sleeve comprising an upper sleeve segment and a lower sleeve segment that are separate components, the eccentric sleeve defining an opening that the sector teeth extend through.
DUAL-MODE ACTIVE REAR-WHEEL STEERING DEVICE BASED ON DIFFERENTIAL PRINCIPLE
A dual-mode active rear-wheel steering device, including: a steering angle control motor, a speed-reduction mechanism, a differential mechanism assembly, two steering motion conversion mechanisms, a first electromagnetic clutch and a second electromagnetic clutch. An output end of the steering angle control motor is connected to the speed-reduction mechanism. The differential mechanism assembly is a bevel gear differential, in which center holes at outer ends a two half shafts are respectively provided with a raceway to form an inner cyclical ball-lead screw-nut pair with a first lead screw and a second lead screw of the steering motion conversion mechanisms. The first lead screw and the second lead screw are the same in parameters but with opposite rotation direction. The first electromagnetic clutch controls connection between a differential housing and a frame. The second electromagnetic clutch controls connection between the differential housing and the second half shaft.
STEERING AXLE FOR A STEERABLE VEHICLE AND INDUSTRIAL TRUCK
A steering axle (20) for a steerable vehicle includes an axle housing (1), a first steering knuckle (4), a second steering knuckle (5), a steering motor (6), and a steering gear (16). The first steering knuckle (4) and the second steering knuckle (5) are mounted so as to be steerable in the axle housing (1). The steering axle (20) has a first flexible drive (21) that connects a first output (12) of the steering gear (16) to the first steering knuckle (4) in terms of drive, and a second flexible drive (22) that connects a second output (13) of the steering gear (16) to the second steering knuckle (5) in terms of drive, so that a rotational speed of the steering motor (6) results in a steering movement of the first steering knuckle (4) and of the second steering knuckle (5). Also disclosed is a corresponding industrial truck.
Electric power steering device
An electric power steering device includes a restricting portion that is provided on at least one of surfaces of a housing and a worm wheel, the surfaces facing each other. The restricting portion is configured to restrict movement of the worm wheel to maintain a meshing relationship between a worm and the worm wheel that allows torque transmission between the worm and the worm wheel, when fixing of the worm wheel to an output shaft of a power assist actuator in an axial direction of the output shaft is released and the worm wheel is moved in the axial direction.
CLUTCH, STEERING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CLUTCH
A clutch includes a sun gear, an internal gear, planetary gears, a carrier, a first area, a second area, and a third area. The carrier has a through hole through which an output shaft extends. The first area is disposed on an inner wall of the carrier defining the through hole. The second area is disposed on an outer surface of the output shaft and is spline-fitted to the first area. The third area is disposed at a position that is on the outer surface of the output shaft and that is closer to the input shaft than the second area is to the input shaft. The third area has a shape that makes the third area rotatable while being fitted to the first area.
Steering Device
A steering system includes a two-way clutch, a worm wheel that is rotatable together with an input shaft, and a coil that generates a drive force for the two-way clutch to couple/decouple the input shaft and an output shaft to/from each other. The worm wheel has a center circular plate portion fixed to the input shaft, a radial ring portion that projects forward from a peripheral edge of the center circular plate portion, and a toothed portion that projects outward in the radial direction from the radial ring portion. The two-way clutch is disposed in a space surrounded by the center circular plate portion and the radial ring portion and formed on the front side with respect to the center circular plate portion. The coil surrounds an outer peripheral surface of the radial ring portion.
Electric steering column device for vehicle
An electric steering column device includes a column housing, and a first shaft, a connection shaft and a second shaft provided in the column housing. The connection shaft is movable in an axial direction of the first shaft and the second shaft and is connected to the first shaft and the second shaft so as to rotate together with the first shaft and the second shaft. The first and second shaft are connected to the connection shaft so that the first shaft always rotates at the same rotation speed and that a rotation speed of the second shaft is varied depending on whether or not the connection shaft moves in the axial direction. The device is capable of securing an optimized steering performance by adjusting steering responsibility of a steering wheel depending on a driving state of the vehicle.
Control system for dual path machine
A dual path agricultural machine including a control system having a number of input sensors, status sensors, and output sensors, and a controller configured to operate the dual path machine in a stability control mode and a selective rear-steer engagement and actuation mode. In the stability control mode, the controller adjusts an actual drive output of the dual path machine according to data received from the input sensors and feedback received from the output sensors so as to reduce a difference between the actual drive output and a desired drive output. In selective rear-steer engagement and actuation mode, the controller engages rear-steer mechanisms with caster wheels of the dual path machine and actuates the caster wheels via the rear-steer mechanisms if a criterion is satisfied. The controller disengages the rear-steer mechanisms from the caster wheels or does not actuate the caster wheels if the criterion is not satisfied.
Steer-by-wire apparatus
