One or more alignment tabs on a weight transfer member of a frame are inserted into the alignment slots to align the support plate on the frame. An extension member connected to the frame moves a set of handles away from the frame to accommodate the rescue basket. A wheel on the frame is driven by a motor to facilitate the rescue of individuals.

A wheel assembly is for a unitractor. The wheel assembly has a wheel, a static hub and an internal electrical motor. The wheel has a rim, a traction member arranged to the periphery of the rim and a plurality of magnets arranged to the inside of the rim. The hub has a stator having spherical windings. The wheel is rotatably connected to the hub via at least one bearing. At least one side panel extends from the rim and to the at least one bearing. At least one of an energy source and a controller for controlling the energy source is positioned in the hub. The hub is provided with a coupling member for an implement frame. A weight-bearing device includes a single wheel, a frame attached to the wheel, and an electric motor attached to the frame. The electric motor is configured to rotate a first gear, connected to a second gear with a chain. The second gear is connected to the wheel. The second gear and the first gear may have a gear ratio of greater than 8:1.
