Collapsible bulkheads and flatbed trailers
One or more flatbed trailers, load placement devices and/or collapsible bulkheads are provided. The flatbed trailer may have a lowered center of gravity and may comprise a plurality of load placement devices and a collapsible and/or crushable bulkhead disposed on a deck of the flatbed trailer to provide improved load transportation safety.
HEAVY-LOAD VEHICLE
The invention relates to a heavy-load vehicle comprising at least two partial vehicles, namely a frontmost partial vehicle and a rearmost partial vehicle, said frontmost partial vehicle having connecting means, and said rearmost partial vehicle having counter-connecting means adapted and configured for cooperating with said connecting means, one of said connecting means and said counter-connecting means including an inner telescopic member guided in a hollow outer telescopic member in a telescoping manner. According to the invention said hollow outer telescopic member is integrally formed by a tubular or box-shaped central part of a partial vehicle frame of one of the partial vehicles, said hollow outer telescopic member and said inner telescopic member cooperating therewith being parts of the same partial vehicle.
VEHICLE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CARGO TRANSLOADING
A vehicle according to a vehicle system and method includes a chassis, a coupler, and a platform on the chassis. The coupler is mounted to the chassis at a first end of the chassis and is configured to releasably connect the vehicle to a second vehicle. The platform is for supporting a cargo container and includes a base portion and a bridge member. The bridge member is located at an end of the platform and is extendable relative to the base portion from a retracted position to an extended position to lengthen the platform. The bridge member in the extended position projects beyond the first end of the chassis, above the coupler, towards the second vehicle for establishing a bridge to transload the cargo container from the platform to the second vehicle.
HEAVY LOAD TRANSPORT VEHICLE OF VARIABLE WIDTH
A heavy load transport vehicle of variable width has a chassis which has two chassis parts which each support a number of wheel arrangements arranged one behind another, wherein the two chassis parts define a transport platform for the heavy load to be transported. The transport vehicle may have a wheel-free central chassis part arranged between said two lateral chassis parts, and that at least one lateral chassis part is pivotable about a pivot axis in relation to the central chassis part.
TOWING SYSTEMS
A portable towing system for a motorcycle or similar vehicle, such as a trike, the frame of which can be lowered to ground level to facilitate loading of the motorcycle or similar vehicle by pushing or riding the vehicle onto the frame without risk of the vehicle falling off the sides of a steeply inclined ramp. The towing system may be assembled, raised, lowered, and disassembled by a single person, if desired. The towing system also comprises a cargo box to store the frame when disassembled. The raising and lowering of the frame is effected by a lifting and lowering mechanism connected with the wheel assemblies, and at least three heights of the frame are achieved by rotation of the lifting and lowering mechanism of the wheel assemblies. The cargo box and the frame can use the wheel assemblies interchangeably.
Mitigation of booster-induced effects
An improved articulated heavy haul trailer combination comprises a trailing accessory vehicle such as a booster coupled to a main trailer by a coupling. The coupling includes a horizontal hinge, a vertical hinge that allows the trailing accessory vehicle to yaw in a horizontal plane, a spreader extending between the hinges and a hydraulic piston and cylinder. A turn sensor mounted on said combination detects yawing, and a controller reduces the piston and cylinder's downward biasing force on the coupling.
Freight handling apparatus for carriage of liquid, solid and/or bulk goods
The application relates to carriage of goods by public roads. A freight handling apparatus includes a frame having a coupling mechanism for coupling to a motor vehicle, a container-carrying deck, a wheel suspension, an outer body in the form of a rectangular freight container, the inner space of the outer body being divided in horizontal direction by a plate to accommodate in the lower freight compartment a reusable tank with necessary control and measurement equipment, filling and drain fittings. The freight handling apparatus simplifies and secures its transportation on roads as much as possible by lowering the center of gravity and arrangement of the center of gravity of the tank close to the axis of the vehicle carrying the apparatus, facilitates maintenance and inspection of the tank without removing it from the frame, and makes easier loading and unloading of goods.
Booster axle and system for coupling booster axle to a payload
A booster axle assembly includes a wheel axle, a suspension system coupled to the wheel axle, a booster frame supported by the suspension system, a main link coupled via a first hinged connection to a rear portion of the booster frame and extending from the first hinged connection in an upward and forward direction, a lock assembly coupled to a forward end of the main link via a second hinged connection, and a lockup frame (with a curved bottom portion that defines a cradle) coupled to a front end of the booster frame by a third hinged connection and coupled to the lock assembly by a fourth hinged connection and a fifth hinged connection.

CONTAINER CHASSIS WITH DETACHABLE BOLSTER ENDS
A container chassis with detachable bolster ends comprising a plurality of bolsters, each bolster with detachable bolster ends and a first configuration with detached bolster ends wherein the container chassis is less than eight feet in width for horizontal fitment into an ISO shipping container. The container chassis with detachable bolster ends may also be configured to stack vertically within a plurality of container chassis and wheeled into the ISO shipping container.
