ARTICULATED VEHICLE HYDRAULIC PITCH SYSTEM
Embodiments include a pitch hydraulic system for a dual cabin articulated vehicle. The pitch hydraulic system includes an energy recovery function to harnesses hydraulic energy during vehicle mobility. A directional valve can be activated to allow movement of first and second pitch cylinders into either a “pitch up” or “pitch down” position. The pitch system can alter the stiffness of the unit to improve safety, stability and ride comfort.
Reverse steering modes for agricultural vehicles
Vehicles, control systems for vehicles, and methods of operating vehicles are disclosed herein. A vehicle includes a frame structure, a front section, a rear articulation section, and a control system. The front section is coupled to the frame structure and to a front plurality of wheels supported for movement on a front axle. The rear articulation section is coupled to the frame structure and to a rear plurality of wheels supported for movement on a rear axle. The rear articulation section is pivotally coupled to the front section via an articulation joint and arranged opposite the front section along a vehicle axis. The control system is coupled to the frame structure and includes a mode selector configured to provide input indicative of a mode selected by an operator in use of the vehicle and a controller communicatively coupled to the mode selector.
METHOD AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING DRIVING OPERATION OF AN ARTICULATED TRACKED VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a method (M1) performed by a control device (100) for controlling driving operation of an articulated tracked vehicle (V). Said articulated tracked vehicle (V) comprises a drive arrangement (120) for operating the vehicle. The articulated tracked vehicle (V) comprises a first vehicle unit (V1) and a second vehicle unit (V2) steerably connected to the first vehicle unit (V1) by means of a steering device (D) for mutually pivoting said vehicle units (V1, V2). The mutual pivoting comprises roll movement about a roll axis (X). The steering device (D) comprises a roll arrangement (A2) for said roll movement. The method comprises the step of controlling (S1) the roll arrangement (A2) of the steering device (D) so as to control mutual roll movement of said vehicle units (V1, V2). The present invention also relates to a control device for controlling driving operation of an articulated tracked vehicle. The present invention also relates to a computer program and a computer readable medium.
IDLER ARRANGEMENT FOR A TRACK ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAID IDLER ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to an idler arrangement (80) for maintaining the desired tension in an endless track (34), said endless track (34) is part of a track assembly (30) comprising a track support beam (31), track road wheels (32) and at least one sprocket (33) arranged to drive the endless track (34) arranged around the track road wheels (32) and the sprocket (33), said idler arrangement (80) comprising: an idler wheel (35); an idler wheel support (81) fitted to the track support beam (31) and configured such that the idler wheel is movably arranged in relation to the support beam; a control unit (70); idler wheel position adjusting means operated by the control unit and arranged to position the idler wheel (35) in a desired position: and means for determine a requested torque to be applied by the sprocket and forwarding the determined information to the control unit, wherein the control unit is configured to operate the idler wheel position adjusting means to maintain, or adjust, the position of the idler wheel (35), based on a requested torque applied by the sprocket (33), to maintain the desired tension in the endless track (34). The invention furthermore relates to a method for operating the idler arrangement (80).
Elevated Window Passable Autonomous Self-Driving Assembly
A self-driving assembly capable of traversing an elevated window. The elevated narrow space window may be present within a confined area, for example, at a wall separating different wide space rooms. The assembly is configured to carry out unique techniques for gaining access to the window from a floor level location. Further, in addition to gaining access unique stabilizing features may be employed both in terms of physical security at an edge defining the window as well as in the form of maintaining balance through unique control over mass transfer when secured at the window.

The method comprises the step of controlling (S1) the steering arrangement (A1) of the steering device (D) so as to control mutual steering movement of said vehicle units (V1, V2) for dynamic stability control. The present invention also relates to a control device for controlling driving operation of an articulated tracked vehicle. The present invention also relates to a computer program and a computer readable medium.
Oscillating track system
Disclosed are various embodiments, aspects and features an oscillating track system that includes an oscillating track lock subsystem. The oscillating track system may include a track operable to rotate around a housing structure that is configured to receive an axle. While in operation, i.e. while the track is being rotated around the housing, the oscillating track system may be able to oscillate about the axle and, in doing so, incline or decline to accommodate undulating terrain. Advantageously, when stopped, the degree to which the oscillating track system has oscillated around the axle may be locked in place via an oscillating track lock subsystem comprised within the oscillating track system, thereby providing stability to the heavy equipment that includes the oscillating track system.
Tracked vehicle with adjustable track spacing
Track systems for traction of a vehicle in which a spacing of laterally-adjacent ones of the track systems in a widthwise direction of the vehicle is adjustable. This may facilitate use of the vehicle in different conditions (e.g., in different field configurations, such as in different configurations of row crops, where the vehicle is an agricultural vehicle). For instance, the spacing of the laterally-adjacent ones of the track systems may be adjustable while the laterally-adjacent ones of the track systems are connected to a powertrain of the vehicle and/or without requiring use of additional parts (e.g. spacers).
