Seal assembly
A seal assembly for sealing a lubricant space that is formed between a pin, a track shoe pressed-on onto one end of the pin, and a sleeve of a track. The sleeve is pushed onto the pin and is swivelable on the pin. The track further includes at least one second track shoe pressed onto one end of the sleeve. The seal assembly provides a first seal ring for sealing the lubricant space between the sleeve and the first track shoe, and an elastic ring for applying pressure to the first seal ring. The seal assembly further provides a second seal ring for sealing the lubricant space between the sleeve and the first track shoe and/or the pin.
Greased bearing track
A bearing assembly includes a cylindrical configuration with a radial direction, a circumferential direction and defining a bearing assembly longitudinal axis, a first axial end, and a second axial end, an inner radial race, an outer radial race, a bearing member configured to be disposed radially between the inner radial race and the outer radial race, and a retaining ring configured to engage the inner radial race and the outer radial race, the retaining ring being configured to limit longitudinal movement of the inner radial race relative to the outer radial race once assembled.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPONENT
A method for manufacturing a component is provided. The method includes providing one or more notches on a surface of the component. Further, depositing a coating on the surface to provide a thickness of the coating on the surface, is performed. The method also includes removing, at least partially, the coating from the surface such that the thickness of the coating over the notches is different from the thickness of the coating on the surface adjacent to the notches.
Seal guard for crawler
A final drive seal guard for a track-type tractor including a base component adapted to be stationarily fixed to the tractor and to surround a portion of a spindle housing of the final drive, a sprocket component adapted to be carried on and surround a portion of a sprocket hub of the final drive that rotates about an axis, and an intermediate component adapted to be bolted over the exterior of one of said base and sprocket components and surround portions of both of said base and sprocket components, the intermediate component and another of said base or sprocket components being mutually arranged to form a radially extending sealing gap at a potential path of debris into the guard at a location free of a relatively long axial gap upstream in said potential path.
CRAWLER TRACK, SHOE, TRACK LINK, UNDERCARRIAGE ASSEMBLY AND VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH A POWER SUPPLY UNIT FOR POWERING SENSORS
A heavy-duty vehicle may include a crawler track on which a rest of the vehicle can roll so as to move. A sensor may be configured to detect a physical quantity of the crawler track, of the heavy-duty vehicle, or of the environment contained by or surrounding the crawler track or the heavy-duty vehicle. A power supply unit may be configured to supply the sensor with electric power. The power supply unit comprises a rectenna configured to receive electromagnetic power from an external electromagnetic source and to supply the sensor with at least part of the electromagnetic power.
FACE SEAL HAVING ELASTOMERIC RING WITH SURFACE SHAPE FOR IMPROVED SEALING
A face seal assembly includes a pair of identical metal and elastomeric rings. The metal rings are biased towards one another by the elastomeric rings when the face seal assembly is installed. The metal rings each have lapped surfaces that abut one another to create a sealing arrangement. An outside side of each elastomer ring is divided by a second inner diameter surface definingly separating a metal ring engagement side from an environmentally exposed side. The environmentally exposed side of each elastomeric ring has an annularly-shaped concave valley formed in the elastomeric ring, which is facing the concave valley of its oppositely disposed respective elastomeric ring. The concave valley starts from a first annular lip and extends to a maximum offset distance at an annular bottom of the concave valley and ends at a second annular lip. The second annular lip is disposed further back from the first annular lip.
Sealing system for a track
A track hinge joint includes a first track link, a second track link, a track pin disposed in a bore of the first track link, an inner bushing that is disposed in a bore of the second track link and that is rotatable relative to the track pin, an outer bushing that is disposed about the inner bushing that is rotatable relative to the inner bushing and that includes an outer bushing end face, and a first fluid seal assembly contacting the outer bushing end face and the second track link.
Threaded idler block cap
A replacement kit for a rotating member attachment assembly includes a first thrust washer defining a first thrust washer diameter and a first thrust washer axial thickness, and a first end cap defining a first end cap axial thickness and including a first end cap circumferential surface defining a first end cap diameter that is greater than the first thrust washer diameter. The first end cap circumferential surface includes external threads.
Bearing bushing for track, and method for producing the same
A bearing bushing for a track has an annular shape including an inner peripheral surface, an outer peripheral surface, a first end face, and a second end face located axially opposite the first end face. The bearing bushing for a track includes an inner peripheral surface-side hardened layer formed to include the inner peripheral surface, an outer peripheral surface-side hardened layer formed to include the outer peripheral surface, a first end face-side hardened layer formed to include the first end face and having a region with a hardness of 63 HRC or more that has a thickness of 3 mm or more from the first end face, and an unhardened region lower in hardness than the inner peripheral surface-side hardened layer, the outer peripheral surface-side hardened layer, and the first end face-side hardened layer, and including at least the second end face. The bearing bushing is made of steel.
