11618532 · 2023-04-04 · ·

An electromechanical control system for a bicycle has a switch device, the switch device operating a switch between at least three positions. A control communication device transmits signals responsive to operation of the switch. The electromechanical control system includes an operation device configured to respond to signals transmitted by the control communication device. Signals transmitted by the control communication device include commands to listen and commands to operate.

TRI-POWER EXERCISING DEVICE
20170368409 · 2017-12-28 ·

Tri-Power Exercising device allows a rider to simultaneously, or on demand, exercise virtually all muscle groups in his lower and upper body. The device includes a bicycle frame, pedals, forearm bars, sliding seat, computer and electronic display recommending energy modulation amounts from various muscle groups to optimize physical performance on any given trek. Because riders can exercise virtually all muscle groups at once, they reduce their exercising time, continuously builds muscle tissue throughout their whole body, and exercises their cardiovascular and respiratory systems completely. Riders operate the device by rotating legs on the pedals, rotationally oscillating the forearm bars up and down with their arms and shoulders, and then use core muscles to pull and push the seat back and forth on the slider. Inverted racks, pinion gears, and one-way bearings turn this linear power from the oscillating forearm bars and sliding seat into torque that rotates the crank axle.

Bicycle handlebar assembly with v-shaped stem

A bicycle handlebar assembly comprises a base bar, a v-shaped stem selectively removable from the base bar, and a bicycle fork assembly. Control cables from the bicycle may be routed from the base bar into hollow diverging stem members of the v-shaped stem. The bicycle fork assembly comprises an external-steerer fork having a load-bearing member and a preload tensioning rod. The preload tensioning rod fits within a head tube of the bicycle, and a hollow space around the preload tensioning rod accommodates control cables passing from the v-shaped stem into a hollow portion of the bicycle frame. The v-shaped stem is secured against the base bar by a pair of nut plates. In some examples, an engagement portion of an accessory such as an aerobar extension assembly is configured to secure the v-shaped stem and an aerobar extension against the base bar.

A steering system includes a front fork, a front wheel, a handlebar, two bar ends, and two steering members. The handlebar includes a support bar and two elbows disposed at two opposite ends of the support bar. The two bar ends each includes a grip and a linkage; the linkage fits through the corresponding elbow and connects with the grip. Each of the steering members connects the corresponding bar end to the front fork, so that the swing direction of the grips determines the turning direction of the front fork and thus the travel direction of the front wheel. A bicycle using the steering system is also provided. The steering system and the bicycle of the present invention utilize swinging of the grips of the bar ends connected to the two elbows extending from the handlebar to control the travel direction of the front wheel.

TRACK RACING BIKE

A track racing bicycle having a head tube and/or down tube with asymmetrical left and right sides. A left side of the head tube and/or down tube may be closer to a central plane of a frame of the track racing bicycle for aerodynamic purposes. Moreover, the drivetrain may be disposed on the left side of the frame instead of the right side. Also, a rear wheel of the track racing bicycle may have a mechanism for mitigating or prohibiting forward slip of the rear wheel in the rear dropouts.

FLEXIBLE HAND GUARD
20170233028 · 2017-08-17 ·

A protective hand guard for use on a vehicle with handlebars. The disclosed protective hand guard is attached at one end to the end of the handlebars and at another end to a clamping structure. The attachment to the clamping structure, which is on the inside end of the handlebars is by a cable which allows some movement when placed under pressure. The cable can be a steel cable, a pair of steel cables or other structures which are generally rigid but provide a small amount of flexion. The outer end of the hand guard can be attached to the outer tip of the handlebar in a rotating mount.
