SNOWMOBILE
A vehicle is provided and includes a frame including a tunnel and a front portion, an endless track at least partially positioned within the tunnel, a ski supporting the front portion of the frame, a spindle coupled to the ski, and a front suspension coupled to the spindle. The ski defines a central plane extending vertically and longitudinally, the central plane defining an inboard lateral side and an outboard lateral side, the ski having a bottom surface and a keel extending therefrom on the outboard lateral side. The spindle is coupled to the ski at a first position on the outboard lateral side of the ski. The front suspension is coupled to the spindle at a second position outboard from the central plane of the ski.
ENHANCED DRIVING CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SNOWMOBILES
A snowmobile having enhanced steering control has driving control system including an electrically actuated device coupled to a steering system having a user operated steering element with the device applying torque to the steering system, a throttle, a plurality of sensors including a torque sensor and at least one additional sensor to generate terrain condition data and operational data, and at least one controller coupled to the device and the sensors. The at least one controller selects a terrain condition mode using the generated terrain condition and generated operational data, determines the torque to apply responsive to the angle and speed of rotation of user operated steering element, and operates the electrically actuated device to apply the torque to the steering system, with the torque being applied only by the electrically actuated device.
Vehicle with support assembly for suspension arm
A vehicle including a chassis; a seat; a motor; an endless drive track; a suspension assembly supporting the endless drive track. The suspension assembly includes at least one slide rail and at least one suspension arm pivotally connected to the slide rail and the chassis, the arm including a top bar extending laterally and a shock absorber. A first support assembly connecting a first end portion to a first chassis side and a second support assembly connecting a second end portion to a second chassis side. Each support assembly includes a bracket connected to the chassis at a top portion of the bracket; and a connector disposed on an end portion of the top bar, the connector including an arm portion, the end portion extending through a connector passage, and a flange portion defining a slot therein, a bottom portion of the bracket being received in the slot.
Tracked vehicle
A vehicle is disclosed that includes various portions for carrying a rider and operation of the vehicle. The vehicle may be configured for operation of more than one surface or surface type. The vehicle has a selected suspension assembly for operation of various surface types.
ELECTRONIC MODAL BASE VALVE
An electronic modal base valve is disclosed. The electronic modal base valve includes a motive component, a controller communicatively coupled with the motive component, and a control valve coupled with the motive component. The controller is configured to control an operation of the motive component, wherein a movement of the motive component is configured to cause the control valve to adjust a flow rate for a flow path through the electronic modal base valve.
Snowmobile heat exchanger assembly
A heat exchanger assembly has a top par and a bottom part joined to the top part. At least one of the top and bottom parts defines a recess. The top and bottom parts define therebetween a passage formed in part by the recess. The passage has a first portion of the passage extending along a first side of the heat exchanger assembly; a second portion of the passage extending along a second side of the heat exchanger assembly; an inlet fluidly communicating with the first portion of the passage near a first end of the passage; and an outlet fluidly communicating with the second portion of the passage near a second end of the passage. Fluid enters the passage via the inlet, then flows in the first portion of the passage, then flows in the second portion of the passage, and then exits the passage via the outlet.
Rear suspension assembly for a snowmobile
A snowmobile has a rear suspension assembly including at least one slide rail, a plurality of idler wheels, a front suspension arm having first upper and lower ends, and a rear suspension arm having second upper and lower ends. The first upper end is connected to a tunnel of the snowmobile. The first lower end is selectively connected to the at least one slide rail. The first lower end is connectable to the at least one slide rail at first and second positions. The first position of the first lower end is vertically higher from a bottom surface of the at least one slide rail than the second position of the first lower end. The second upper end is connected to the tunnel.
Snowmobile
A snowmobile includes a chassis comprising a bulkhead and a tunnel, a front suspension coupled to bulkhead, a rear suspension coupled to the tunnel, and slide rails coupled to the rear suspension.
Snow vehicle
A snow vehicle is disclosed comprising a vehicle frame, a propulsion unit coupled to the frame, and a front ski steered by a steering mechanism. The snow vehicle has a chain coupling the sprocket of the propulsion unit and a chain tensioning device to take up the chain tension. The chain has a chain guide positioned below a lower run of the chain which directs the chain towards an upper run of the chain.
