A bicycle pedal attachment includes an elongated pole, similar to hiking pole, which is removably attachable to the pedals of a bicycle or tricycle. The bike pedal attachment includes a bracket assembly and a pole assembly. The bracket assembly includes a support bracket attachable to a bicycle pedal. The distal end of the support bracket includes a ball joint extend therefrom. The ball joint then serves as an operative connection point for the pole assembly. The pole assembly includes an elongated telescopic pole with a locking mechanism at a distal end. The locking mechanism includes a slidable locking member that engages with the ball joint thereon. Once assembled thereon, the bike pedal attachment allows a user to use their hands eases the cycling motion performed on the bicycle.

The shoe sole is configured to be selectively engageable with the pedal, with the first engagement elements being registered with the second engagement elements when the shoe sole is engaged with the pedal.

The stator is disposed on the spindle, the rotor is disposed on the inner surface of the pedal unit, and the rotor surrounds the stator correspondingly and is non-contact with the stator. The energy storage element is electrically coupled to the generator. When the pedal unit is being pedaled to rotate by a rider, the stator is fixed on the spindle, the rotor rotates relatively to the stator and along with the pedal unit, and a power is generated by the generator to charge the energy storage element.

The first and second magnetic platters each include two magnetic blocks that are separated and magnetically charged by a respective permanent magnet plate positioned therebetween. The second magnetic platter includes a keyed protrusion configured to be engaged by a ferrous metal cleat, which can rotate the second magnetic platter between a first position where the pedal is in a magnetically inactive state and a second position where the pedal is in a magnetically active state magnetically securing the cleat to the second magnetic platter.
