Inflatable swim platform for water sports
A swim platform for attachment to a boat includes a rearwardly tapered inflatable body including a top surface capable of supporting a standing person, an outer perimeter including a forward wall, an aft wall, and a port sidewall and a starboard sidewall extending between the forward wall and aft wall. The forward wall is positionable adjacent the transom. The forward wall is longer than the aft wall and is configured not to extend laterally beyond the starboard and port sides at the transom. The swim platform may be left in the water while the boat is moving and is designed not to interfere with the boat's wake.
Light weight variable force restraint
An evacuation system may comprise an evacuation slide configured to be deployed from an aircraft, a first strap coupled to the evacuation slide, a second strap coupled to the evacuation slide, and a releasable restraint extending through the first strap and the second strap. The releasable restraint may comprise a first stem connected to a first bead and a second stem connected to a second bead, wherein a diameter of the second stem may be different from a diameter of the first stem.
Reusable evacuation system restraint
A releasable restraint for an inflatable slide is disclosed, in accordance with various embodiments. The releasable restraint may comprise a first mating portion having a receptacle. The releasable restraint may comprise a second mating portion having a protrusion. The protrusion may be configured to fit within the receptacle. An adjustment fastener may be coupled to the receptacle and configured to adjust a coupling strength of the releasable restraint.
Evacuation system with wind lift deterrent
An evacuation system may comprise an evacuation slide and a first underwing tube. The first underwing tube may be coupled to an outboard tube or an inboard tube of the evacuation slide. The first underwing tube may be configured to extend away from the evacuation slide upon inflation of the first underwing tube.
YOKE STRAP WITH SHOCK ABSORBER
A restraint arrangement for an inflatable slide may comprise a releasable restraint and a yoke coupled to the releasable restraint. The yoke may comprise a first strap and a second strap. A first dampener may be coupled to the first strap. A second dampener may be coupled to the second strap. The first dampener and the second dampener may deform in response to a tensile load.
ESCAPE SYSTEM
An escape system comprises a slide for facilitating evacuation of from a structure to water, wherein the slide comprises at least one helical inflatable path. The or each helical inflatable path may be configured to extend generally vertically between the structure and the water. The slide may comprise a plurality of helical inflatable paths. The slide may comprise spacing means for controlling the pitch between helix turns of the or each of the helical inflatable paths. A bowsing arrangement for the slide is also disclosed.
EVACUATION SYSTEM
An evacuation system (10) includes an electrically insulating inflatable conveyance (11), which is stowed within, and deployed from, a framework (21) attached to an interior structure (45) or exterior structure (43) of an industrial vehicle (38). The inflatable conveyance (11) preferably has a flexible base (12) affixed to, and dependently supported by, longitudinally disposed closed tubular members (15), and may take the form of a chute that may be configured to function as a slide or as a ladder. The chute may be enclosed with a canopy (17), or may be open but provided with upwardly extending side walls (16). In implementations of a canopy (17), transparent egress windows (19) may be provided. Transversely oriented straps (14) form safety steps and/or hand rails in a ladder configuration of the chute.
An escape system comprises a passage (1), a platform (3) and at least one craft (4), the platform (3) and the craft (4) being deployable from a structure (2) to water to facilitate evacuation of the structure via the passage. The passage is mounted to the platform such that the platform is urged towards the structure when deployed. The passage may be mounted to the platform such that movement of the passage relative to the platform is restricted in at least one direction. A plate (64) may support the passage, platform and/or craft during deployment, and/or stabilises the passage, platform and/or craft after deployment in the water.
